Is it ok to paint right on top of guitar body?

Hey im planning to paint right on top of my Ibanez rgt6exfx...just some illustrations.

Is it advisable to do so?
If yes what kind of paint and clear finish should i use?

Reason for grounding wires to the tailpiece?

Hey im thinking of changing my soon to get guitar pickups and i dont understand the part where the wires have to be grounded to the tailpiece or bridge or something. Anyone know whats the reason for it?

Hey does anyone know if this model comes in a fixed bridge model?
The one on the Ibanez site only mentioned the tremolo model.

I'm preparing to sell my Ibanez S320 in exchange for this, but im thinking of getting a fixed bridge guitar with the same specs as the RGT42DXFM because im getting kinda tired of not getting to tune my guitar down without setting up the entire thing.

Please help if you have info! thanks!
