Car Accident Insurance Compensation

Guys, my car was hit by someone at the back on Saturday, til today hasn't receive call saying that insurance starting to work on my car.
In fact, I have no experience in this perhaps someone could guide me.
My car is in workshop now and a so called runner said will take over everything.

As it claim wasn't my fault what document should I prepare later or soon?

One of my colleague said to me that he did claim compensation for not having a car to work, how shall I do the same as I really has got no car as my job require a car.
