hi guys! i'll be leaving for Australia next year to pursue my studies so instead of lugging my desktop 3000km across the ocean, i thought of getting a laptop!

My budget is less than rm3000, moderate graphics card to play games like warcraft, maybe COD4? 2 gig ram, >100gb HDD, dvd drive, preferably small size laptop with small display (less than 15" is fine) for mobility, and if possible, not so heavy.

Any recommendations on what brand/model i should get? i'm not familiar with laptops, so any help is greatly appreciated! thanks very much in advance

Recommended PC specs for Gaming

As the topic states, I am interested in buying a new PC because my current one is outdated (bought in 2003, has been upgraded several times and currently only 512SDRAM PC133, cheap GeForce2 MX100/200 g/card, 160gb HDD) and can only play average games with medium/minimal graphic settings + experience lag when switching tasks or even during normal gameplay. Plus my dad needs a PC for himself so I thought of giving him this one while i use the new one

Budget is between 3k-4k, PC used for gaming and basic multi-tasking/alt-tabbing (MSN Msger/browser/games/MS Office). At least 17" LCD (19" if possible ) and reasonable speakers (I use headphones at night). . Anyone can recommend good specs + current prices? Suggestions and comments are welcomed! Thanks in advance!

p/s: Is it better to wait till Windows Vista is released?
