modem connected but cannot online

hi guys, i just want to ask why cant i go online when my streamyx says it was perfectly connected already..id try to online from any browser but its still d same..cant find server, plus other applications that uses internet also cant get online..id google for the problem and id try many of the solutions but it doesnt work like resetting internet option, make sure automatic detect in lan setting, make sure tcp/ip is obtained automatically, reset winsock..its driving me crazy..fyi, the problematic laptop is an old school one and i just upgrade to a new windows xp sp2 from the older version of xp..after reformatting, then the internet gone..previously it works fine..can anybody help me please =(

transfer files from 1 pc to another

is there any software that allows us to transfer file(s) from one pc to another thru internet connection beside yahoo messenger..

i dont want to use ym because it droves me crazy due to the fact that most of the time my data transfer always got interrupted..
it's hard for me to send big files especially when sometimes its already 90% completed but then it got interrupted too then u'd lose ur patient

i want to find other software that carry the same feature with data transfer in ym but has much secure connection than that. Thank you!

windows lan cant detect network

when i plugged in the lan cable connected to any switch to my friend's laptop, it'l state "identifying" and "limited connection" only..is it the problem with the ethernet card or is there any solution to it?

cant format laptop

the prob occurs when i inserted the bootable windows xp cd to format, when the setup file has finished loaded, a blu screen error will appear stating that i cant format my laptop..how can i avoid this?

hye everyone..i am a webmaster of my company's website and had developed the website since like 2 years ago..everything has run smoothly up until recently i found out that there is some problem with that site..when i clicked on any links attached to my website it'll be directed to a casino page..how can i solve this problem? my boss keeps asking me to solve that but i have no much time since i am busy with some other work..plus i didnt have such experience in handling such prob before..so anybody can help me..please..ur helps are really muich appreciated =)
