But knowing Malaysians, mesti some bugger try to work the system for free cash.

/k got innovative ideas to effectively distribute subsidy?
sometime heart got pain a bit seeing fler driving 7 series bmw, lamborghini filling up RON95 at petrol station.

http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013...wer-prices.aspx

QUOTE

KUALA LUMPUR: Coffee shop and restaurant operators say they will consider setting a lower price for sugar-free beverages.

Malaysia Singapore Coffee Shop Proprietors’ General Association president Ho Su Mong said that a win-win solution for operators and consumers had to be worked out.

He said he could foresee the cost of sugar-related ingredients like milk and syrup going up as well after the price for refined sugar is adjusted to RM2.84 per kg following the removal of the 34 sen subsidy.

Since unsweetened beverages and products were not directly affected by the sugar price hike, the association – which has nearly 30,000 members – would consider lower prices for them, Ho said.

“We have to do some calculations and find the best solution. We are monitoring the impact of the sugar hike before adjusting prices,” he said, adding that 1kg of sugar can make about 35 cups of coffee.

Ho said he had told association members to maintain the current prices for about two months until new prices were decided on.

Meanwhile, the National Co-operatives Organisation urged its members in the food business to charge lower for drinks without sugar.

Its president Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah said: “We encourage our members involved in selling food to lower the prices of drinks without sugar since the Government wants people to be healthy.

“We have our ethics, and members are not allowed to sell products that harm people’s health.”

Abdul Fattah said the organisation had 10,700 members but he did not know how many were involved in the food business.

In George Town, the Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association said its 3,000-odd members nationwide would not increase prices for the time being.

Association president Noorul Hassan Saul Hameed added: “We understand that the consumers are already struggling to cope with the inflation and we do not want to burden them further.

“But the members cannot be selling drinks at a loss. We will hold a meeting soon to discuss prices.”

Federation of Penang Hawkers Associations president Lam Tong Ying said it was “troublesome” for the 3,000 or so members to come up with a new list of prices.

“I hope our members will not increase drink prices even after the subsidy removal.

“After all, we do not use much sugar in our drinks,” he added.

Example : One Teh O Ais : RM1.40
Cost Occurred : 80 Teabag : RM7.99 : 300 cups ; 0.0267 sen per cup
Utilities : Heating water, washing cups : 0.01 sen
Sugar : 1 teaspoon (5g) : 0.0145 sen

Yeah at product cost RM0.05 sen per cup, these tards are making 2800% profit at product cost. OK bagi face add RM0.20 for other implicit cost. that is still 560% profit per cup.
So the crux of the matter is, eventho we have useless policy makers and implementers, we are made worse off by businesses that does not want to lose even 1% of their profit in these times of difficulty.

Should the club do a turnaround now and give in to the wishes of the fans, it would still be viewed as a slight to the former West Ham man that a team he has served so loyally for the best part of his career chose to turn their back on him.

Lampard is currently serving his 12th year with the Blues, and having played 574 matches, scoring 193 goals in the process, coming through in dire times, the issue of Lampard's contract expiry has been the primary focus of the Blues' faithful.

Patutkah kontrak Superfrank Lampard diperbaharui Roman Abramovich?

Frustrating Job Hunting

Went to Jobstreet Career Fair last weekend.
A lot of opening for fresh grad, experienced hires also got.
But i got myself in a bit of a predicament here.

Currently i am working in an outsourced call centre.
Basically doing Internet/Phone application processing, liaison for supplier/business/corp clients.
Since its a foreign based company, movement to management level is a tad restricted. They choose to nominate their people as management, and Malaysians as execs.

I am looking for another job, but these guys pay me a bit above market, so im not salary competitive as compared to fresh grads.
Been here for 4 yrs plus now, next April 5 yrs. Thinking about moving somewhere else on a senior exec/management level.

I got Bachelor's Degree in Economics (graduated July 2011), work experience in call centre setting, and based on my lookups in Jobstreet, not many will be able to match my salary, and those who will wont accept me because education and experience doesnt tally. Murder!!

Pros of this company :
1. Salary not bad (3.4k + monthly KPI of 800)
2. Expert in my area already
3. Near to house
4. 26 days annual leave

Cons
1. Crazy KPI review, its like they dont actually want to give you the KPI (shallow judgment but hey thats what i feel)
2. No Malaysian public holiday (deduct from annual leave if want to take)
3. Insurance coverage very minimal
4. Medical coverage got a fixed amount every year, more than that have to pay ohh~

You guys think there's a better world out there?
