Thyroid problem

I had swallowing difficulty & indigestion for a month now. Already consulted 2 doctors before and given medication for gastric but no improvement. The 3rd doctor suspected thyroid problem and asked me to do blood test. I just got my blood test result and my T3 is higher at 7.7 although my TSH and T4 is in normal range.

The strange thing is higher T3 should mean hyperthyroidism but the symptoms I had are more like hypo - always feeling cold, gain weight & fatigue.

Doctor already wrote a referal letter to me but I don't know where got good endocrinologist in PJ area. Tropicana medical center's endocrinologist only available on Friday while KPJ Damansara doesn't seem to have endocrinologist. Any good endocrinologist to recommend?

Difficulty to breath and swallow

Hi, after I ate something, the food feels like stuck behind my throat and have small difficulty to breath. I'll need at at least 2 hours for me to return to normal after meal. I don't think it has anything to do with my diet or the size of meal. I had try eating slowly, more fibre and had very small meals only but the problem persist.

It's been going for 3 weeks already. Had seen 2 GP but all gave me crap medicine for flu saying most probably I'm having sore throat. But I'm sure I'm not having sore throat or flu! Also, I feel fatigue everyday.

What should I do? Go to see gastroenterologist or test for hypothyroidism?

Getting rental deposit back from landlord

We started renting our current place 5 years ago. When we first got in, we had a 2 year contract with the landlord and gave 2 months deposit. After the contract ended, the landlord had risen our rental twice to RM200 more & we never had any renew contract.

Now, we're planning to move out and wonder if we could ask the landlord to agree on letting the deposit to off set 2 months rental and we paid the extra RM200. Can we do this, since the contract already ended 3 years ago? If he doesn't want to give back the money what can we do? We're worried we might not get the money back because my landlord is very calculative.
Recommend Neck Pillow/Support

I've never been on long flights so I'm worried how should I get to sleep on my next trip which is going to be 14 hours. I slept on flights before with the usual U neck pillow, sometimes didn't. My head will usually tilt to the front and there's nothing to support my chin so I always woke up with painful neck. Is there any recommended neck pillow or support that I can buy?

Questions on backpain problems

I sometimes get numbing pain at my lower back and this usually happened after I walked a lot but it has been getting worse and frequent recently. I can't sleep well cause sometimes it'll be so painful that I'll woke up. Now I'm thinking of seeking specialist but here's my situation:

1. I've seen some friends going to just one specialist and follow the treatment blindly and ended up the same. So I want to seek 2 different specialist's opinion before really trusting them.

2 How do I make my both diagnosis be covered by my insurance?

3. Any good specialist to recommend preferable those with both orthopediatrist and chiropractor, so I can choose to get non-surgical treatment (if allowed) after the diagnosis? One of my colleague got 4 big jabs at her back and her back pain still persist.

Thanks.

What shoes/sandals you wear for travelling?

I'm not posting this topic in Travel and Living because I'm sure will get the typical answers - "Just wear sport shoes/sneakers lah!"

So I just want to ask the girls what pretty or stylish shoes/sandals that you wear when travelling, especially when you're going to those fashion cities like Paris, Milan or even HK?

Usually I'll wear sport shoes when getting on and off flights and flip flops to pair with my sundress but the flip flops are not good for my back bones because they're too flat. Any brand of low heels with cushion support that you can recommend?

I went online and saw some brand like Mephisto etc.. but don't think they have shops in Malaysia.

Need a skin specialist urgently

Hi, I've been getting this problem since more than a month ago. Already seen 2 GP but still couldn't solve the problem.

MY lips and skin around it have been dry, cracking and shedding skins a few times a day. My lips feel numb all the time, especially if I didn't apply lip balm that doctor gave. After drinking or eating, I would feel stinging pain on my lips.

Now it's getting worse that I'm having tiny zits on my lips now and they're slightly swelling, so I'm thinking of visit a skin specialist. Is there any skin specialist in PJ area that I can see on weekend?

Hi,

I've keep on having this problem since last month. Whenever I try to upload pictures in Photobucket, it'll keep on failing. It'll progress until 100% but suddenly popup with the message 0 picture uploaded. This happen even though my connection in other websites are good.

I'm using the RM49 package but didn't have this kind of problem before. My pictures size are usually between 70KB to 150KB and I even tried uploading 1 by 1 but still fail. Talk to P1 wimax customer service but they just keep saying "We'll follow up, we'll follow up."

MRTA MLTA

Hi, I just apply for a housing loan with a few banks, but I'm confuse about MRTA and MLTA. Is it compulsary to have at least one of it?

From what I read in another forum (correct me if I'm wrong):

MRTA - pay in one-go as an insurance in case we die, our mortgage will be settled.

MLTA - the same as MRTA but make payment every year. Like life insurance, we can get the money back once 30 years tenure ended

The person from Eon bank offer the MRTA at 18K , is that standard considering a loan of 300K? I', thinking to get another life insurance, if it's not compulsary. Problem is if I don't take the MRTA, I can only get 94% loan (I'm planning to take 5/95 package)

Seems like all the banks I apply are pushing us to have MRTA but don't offer MLTA, saying we have to buy somewhere else.

Any comment?

Location or house size/type

Hi, I'm looking for a house but still undecided what to choose. We're working in Shah Alam, but all these year we've been staying in PJ and very happy with PJ's accessibility to foods, shopping places & entertainments. Travel to work usually takes 30 minutes.

Our budget is RM300K and here are a few choices I could find:

1. Setia Alam double storey link house - toll is the same as PJ to my workplace, but the place is a dull. ~1400sqft

2. Kota Kemuning double storey link house - no need toll to workplace but need to pass many traffic lights and the place is dull.

3. Tiara Damansara condo, PJ Section 17 - good location, easy to get to shopping & food outlets. But the condo is quite old - should be about 10 years already. ~1000sqft

4. Ken 3 condo, PJ SS2 - new, good accessibility to shopping and food, but sandwiched between 2 old flats and still have constructions going on at that area. Wonder if it's going to be highly populated in that area later. ~1000 sqft

Price wise, all are about the same with condo being slightly cheaper a bit only, but with maintenance fees lah. All are freehold.

Anybody can give comment on these choices? Which would you choose if you're me?

Hi,

What are the things we need to take note when buying 2nd hand house to avoid scam or being cheated? E.g; if downpayment were paid but the owner changed his mind?

While I'm browsing house for sale recently, there are quite a number either still occupied by owner or still tenanted. Is there higher risk in buying occupied property? Cause a friend mentioned before, if the owner refuse to move later, we'll acquire long process to make him move. Is this true?
