Insurance overvalue my car

I have a nissan livina xgear 1.6 bought in 2018. Bought it for 75k. I recently checked with tukar, and a few dealers, all offer below 20k as used car price. My insurance valued my car at 43.5k last year and this year is valuing it at 43k.

Firstly its a scam to say my dropped only RM500 in 1 year. Secondly, insurance says if total loss, they only pay market rate, less than 20k. When i ask for lower valuarion they offer only at 41k. Should i change insurance, but which one is good? Anyone can recommend?

MDEC free training and possible scammer

On 16th Oct, me found out MDEC got offer free training. So me go and register. Receive email say will MDEC will respond. Now almost 1 week no response (me sad, MDEC no wan me).

BUT... 3 days after register, Scammer keep contacting on whatsapp offer part-time job. Click and earn type of scam job. Weird, Suddenly me got whatsapp group call, without ever giving my phone number to anyone except MDEC. When I msg ask why call, girl say job offer.

Only MDEC know my details - my age (me old unker), no job (nobody wan old unker), quite dum dum (otherwise wont register MDEC for basic training). So fast scammer know about me.

Anyone else got similar story? Me going to engage scammer, see if can earn a little by clicking. Will keep ktard updated how story go. Cheers.

When I click the standard button the price is set at RM129. When I click the promo button, a timer runs and give me a higher Raya Promo price of RM133. Seems very strange Promo price is higher than standard price. The shipping for either standard or promo is free. Pictures attached.

Sent my car to change fan belt. Car 4 yr old. First change. Take back home, next day cannot start. Tow back to service centre ( bought the car & service same centre). Few days later call say key needs reprogram. Have to send spare key to reprogram also. Wait again. Collect car. Use few weeks, coil & spark plug burn. No warranty, so pay for replacement. Now i am afraid to use the car. Suspect service centre screw up.

Had few cars, some kept for 8 or 9 years, never had so many issues.

Another issue was damaged side fender. Knock & change cost over RM1200. Most horrifying took almost 1 month, car stuck at service centre. When finished, sides dont align, serv mgr say must change front bumper, door fender & maybe door itself to look nice. 1 fender damage, need to change half the car?

Anyone got similar experience at nissan srv ctr? Or am i having a rare bad day.

Facebook Scam

My wife got scammed through facebook, lost her account access. Within 1 hour her facebook friends credit card was maxed out.

Scam method
Scammer took over a acquitances facebook acc. From that stolen acc sent msg asking for phone number. Since its an acquintance and no contact long time, my wife gave her phone no.

Then the scammer still posing as facebook friend offer to share shopee voucher. Msg my wife saying will send confirmation code. When my wife got code, she sent to scammer, within minutes her fb closed and she could not access.

Shortly after her friend whatsapp asking why she msg on fb asking for phone no.. My wife then realized scammer targeting her friends so whatsapp everyone about the problem. Unfortunately one friend did not get msg soon enough. She later called and said her credit card was maxed out. She made police report.

PLEASE dont share and codes you get on phone. PLEASE dont be greedy for voucher and lose thousands.

PM me if you have serious questions. I really dont want anyone to lose their hard earned money. I know how hard my wifes friend works to make a living.

HP Laptop Service

I bought a HP Laptop from a computer shop in PJ. Unfortunately due to MCO I am not able to go back to the shop. I added extra RAM (not original HP, some other brand) to the laptop when I bought it. Unfortunately since the first use, its been unstable. Sometimes its after 2 hours or more, sometimes its just a few minutes after use. It crashes with weird colorful display on the screen, shuts down suddenly and restarts, sudden network loss, speaker not working only headphones work etc. Its been a real pain.

HP support sent their tech person to replace the motherboard. I asked if the RAM had any problem but he said no. Said the RAM didn't need replacing. However the laptop continued having the problem the very next day. HP now is very difficult to get support, they keep asking me to restore, reformat, run tests and emailing them (Need to do 3 times as the first 2 times they did not received the file, only the third time when I asked to HP support wait while I finished the tests (took about 2 hours) did I discover that HP Support cannot access the attached link, the file created after the tests was over 300MB and gmail only allows 25MB, so it puts the file into Google Drive and sends the link to the file, but HP support cannot open such a link. So I had to spend almost 7 hours running the test again and again because they didn't highlight this issue. On the 3rd time because I insisted the HP Support person wait, I found this out. Then I spend a long to get to the actual files as the tech support guy didnt know what files are needed. All in All, I have spent about 30 hours trying their suggestions with no final solution.

I am extremely exasperated by HP Support. I planned to take the laptop to their local support centre. I looked only and found a HP search page for nearest service centre and to my GREATEST surprise, there is none shown in Malaysia.

HP Support (From India I think) refuses to send a tech to just remove the RAM, saying they need to test further. Yet everything they ask me to do doesnt work.

I suspect its the RAM as the MB has been changed and no difference. I have tested by charging and using without external power brick, also same. So I suspect most likely are RAM or internal power (Battery?) Any Guru / Sifu that can advice?

Malaysian population - 31.53 million

Population Ratio - UK : Malaysia - 2.11 : 1 (211% more population)

Total Cases of Covid in UK - 2,960,000
Total Cases of Covid in Malaysia - 131,000

Covid Deaths in UK - 79,833
Covid Deaths in Malaysia - 537

Ratio of deaths to UK population - 0.0012
Ratio of deaths to Malaysian population - 0.000017

Difference in death rates in UK is 7058% higher than Malaysia.

Also Covid death to cases ratio show difference as well

Pakistan - 0.0211
Bangladesh - 0.0148

Malaysia - 0.004

The difference between Death to Cases ratio in industrialized countries (UK, Germany & S. Korea) averages at 0.0210, while for Pakistan and Bangladesh its 0.179. Compared to both average, Malaysia's number of Deaths to Cases ratio is over 400% lower.

Is the public sector health care in industrialized countries so much inferior to Malaysia that the number of deaths in 5 times higher ? Can anyone who knows anything about this please tell me how there is such a dramatic difference? Why is the death to population ratio for UK is 7000% more than Malaysia ?

SMS scammers working with telco staff

Five telco companies are currently involved in a SMS scam investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), based on reports on Harian Metro.

It’s also revealed that 100 content provider companies have been identified to be involved in a scam which has conned people out of RM100 million over the past five years.

These content provider companies would actively steal money belonging to prepaid users via SMS and the victim will be charged between 50 sen to RM5 for each message.

Based on the reports, the user’s prepaid information is collected by bribing employees at local telecommunications companies with millions of ringgit.

Many technical experts and ‘important people’ of telco companies were identified to be involved in selling personal data belonging to prepaid registered customers.
