foreign ownership of residential property

I've checked some threads here and read through the law on foreign ownership of residential properties. but there's one thing which I'm not sure about.

I know that foreigners are only allowed to own properties which are 500k and above. So does this mean that as long as the property's value is 500k, I can still own such property even if I co-own with my Malaysian wife 50-50?

Or does the 500k restriction refer to foreign interest in the property? meaning in a 750k property, my ownership should be at least 500k.

A Good Alternative for Speedlight ExII

I'm quite new with Dslr photography. I want to buy an external flash for my Canon 40D.

Any suggestions aside from the higher-end Speedlight ExII? What's the price range of this ExII, anyway?
