Bike Suggestion For Daily Highway Commuting

Hi guys!

I will be commuting from Shah Alam to KL for work starting next year and planning to buy a motorcycle to avoid the massive traffic. The route will be 30km one-way (60km daily). 80% will be on highway with dedicated bike lanes (Federal & Kesas). 20% will be in town riding.

So far, I have narrowed down to buying a used FZ150 or Nouvo LC 135 due to my tight budget of <RM4k and the fact that I didnt really like kapcai looks. FZ150 will be the more practical choice, but Nouvo LC provides good underneath storage space without having to install top box. My questions:

1. Since both bikes have stopped production, is spare parts/accessories easy to find?
2. Which bike is better in terms of comfort & power for highway riding?
3. Any other bike suggestions that fits my budget of around <RM4k? Kapcai suggestion are welcomed.

Hi Guys!

Long story short, I have an Australian bank account at the moment during my stay in Australia a year ago. Now I'm back in Malaysia already but the account is still active.
I'm thinking of buying BTC or ETH using the money, then hold on for some time maybe to gain some profit and cashed it out as MYR. I have a debit card for that said bank
account and I have my Paypal account linked to the debit card. What is the best way for me to buy BTC or ETH at the moment?

Tried coinbase, but since I'm no longer in Australia, I cannot provide the documentation for the proof. Maybe any other exchange that accepts Paypal or debit card that you
can suggest (the one that I dont have to provide proof for Australian residency)?

Hi guys!

I just came back to Penang and in need to figure out the best internet plan. So, I'm a casual internet user mostly spent on youtube, light PS4 gamer and getting into freelance working which means I stream tutorial videos heavily, etc. The house i'm living in was have Streamyx before, but got cancelled since my all of my siblings moved out already.

I don't want to re-install Steamyx because of the speed issues before (unresolved old internal wiring leading to frequent disconnection). No Unifi coverage as well in the area. So, I'm looking into broadband plan.

I've been using U-Mobile U28 for my phone and I noticed my house got 4G coverage. P98 seems good for me but it seems I have to add-on the Share20 for my laptop and my PS4 to enjoy the video ONZ feature. is it?

MB128 with Mifi seems to be good enough for me. Just need a few clarification,

i. for the video-onz, is it only limited to 480p?
ii. Can i get the advertised speed of 21mbps by using the mifi? i'll be happy if can get abt 15mbps
iii. Is the speed good enough to play online game with low lag? (elder scrolls online)
iv. Are there any other limitation that I should consider?

Hello guys,

I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate and been lucky enough to be offered in the graduate trainee program in both Motorola Solutions and Keysigh Technologies in Penang. So, I'm a bit torn when deciding between the two. Salary is abt the same so its not really a main factor in deciding.

So, how's the working environment is like in both of the company? Since both of the company focus more on electronics side of things, can some of you give me ideas on the job scope of a Mechanical Engineer? In terms of career progression, do both company offer a good opportunity to grow and become boss, etc.?

I'm just doing a little bit of survey here. So, how many of you guys prefer renting games instead of buying? For those who prefer buying, why did you not prefer on renting?

Like me, I prefer renting games because I rarely re-play the games that I already completed. Also, I can get wide selection of titles for a cheaper price. How about you guys?

Restoring an old Iswara

Hello guys.

I've recently inherited an old, manual transmission Proton Saga Iswara. It is my first car. The car itself can run quite okay without any problems. My main concern is how the car looks. It's a very old car: the paint has faded, there is small dents at the car body, radio is kinda broken, the fuel indicator is not working, etc.

So, I'm planning on restoring the car mainly focusing on the cosmetic aspect of it. I'm not really concern about the car performance right now.

The thing is, my knowledge about cars isn't that great. I have the rough idea on what to change/improve on, but I have no idea on how to get the things done (where, costs, etc.). I hope you guys can help me on suggesting which type of parts to go for (i.e which sportrim types is suitable and in-trend, brands, etc.) and the estimated cost as I need a rough budget for the whole thing.

laptop lagging suddenly

Hello there!

So, as the title says ,my laptop suddenly lagging this morning. It was all okay last night and now, it was crazily lagging. videos becomes stuck,typing is basically very pain in the *ss. I mean, even the animated /k emoticons is also lagging badly. I dont have any antivirus installed and I dont really wanna format my laptop. Can you guys recommend me some solutions? If you guys need anymore information about my laptop, please do tell me.

So, after nearly a year playing guitar, I think I want to venture into learning guitar scales. I'm a self-taught guitar player and tend to be very slow progressing sometimes. I've been searching the internet for a good tutorials about scales but what I found is that they are quite difficult to understand (maybe the assume I have some music theory background, which I dont). So, can you guys recommend me some good basic scales tutorials? I mean very very basic and teach you step by step.

Hello there, LYN forummers.

So, I've been using Streamyx for a few years. I'm using the cheapest plan (RM70 per month) I'm not quite sure what is the speed but all I can say that it is slow as hell. Playing youtube videos actually takes quite a while to load. So, I'm thinking of upgrading the speed into 2Mbps (RM130 per month) and my questions is, do I need a new modem to for the upgrade? I'm currently using a D-Link Wireless G ADSL2+ Router (model DSL-2640B) and it says on the box that the modem could handle data transfer at speeds up to 54Mbps.

Since I have about four months of break, I decided to give photography a try. As you guys aware, photography field becoming wider and wider these days and I think having some basic skills wouldnt hurt. I'm very much a beginner in this field and I would like to learn all about the ISOs, shutter speed, aperture, etc. as i've never really had the chance to learn it before. Therefore, I'll ask you guys for some opinion.

So, first of all, can you guys recommend me some cheap, easy-to-use camera? There to is so much choice to choose from and I dont want to spend too much on it in case I'm will not really use the camera.

i'm in a midst of searching a laptop with good specs, light weight with good design and I've stumble upon many laptop model. But one model did capture my heart is Asus N46, but as I far as I googled, this model is not available in Malaysia what I like about this model is that it is 14 inch, intel i7, GeForce GT650M and I love the slim design.

I'm from Penang and as far as I look around, there's no resellers in Penang selling this model. May I know if this model available anywhere else? Lowyat?

And if this model is really unavailable in Malaysia, can someone recommend me other models with the same specs and have more or less the same lightweight slim design? Thanks.

wireless connection problem

hello there,

I'm having internet connection issues this few weeks and it really gave me headache. I've already bought a new modem router, a TP-LINK W8901G and it was okay for a few days but still the connection is unstable for most of the time. So, last few days someone in my family make a reset on the modem.

Early this morning, I had re-configure the modem and it was all good but the problem now, I cant make wireless connection to the modem router. i cant connect using my phones or laptop although both of the device did detect the wireless signal. So, can someone help me maybe I had missed a couple of settings?

this morning, i had minor accident where my car bumped with a pillar. really really careless. so, there's some dent and big scratches on the left rear side of my satria . here's some pic:-

So, based on the picture do you can someone estimate the cost to repair this? cause the nearest car shop is quite far from my house. And can I remove those scratches by myself?

1. What the heck is EDUCAMP? I heard it's like an interview though...
2. What activities in EDUCAMP?
3. What to expect?
4. What is the interview like, the process or common question?

Hello there, LYN forumers...

I'm kinda new here, but seeing as there are little to no info about this topic, I took decision to open this thread. Okay, first of all, I'm 17 and will be taking SPM this year. My dreams and interest lies on aircraft and piloting is my ambition. But lately, I'm leaning more towards Fighter Pilot as my ambition. I've search the webs for Malaysia fighter pilot career and found a very minimal info. So, I have some question here:-

1. What is the difference between Airforce pilot and Navy pilot?
2. Which one of these two (Airforce pilot and Navy pilot) is actually more towards Fighter aircraft? (which practise air-to-air combat, etc.)
3. What is the step for SPM leavers to be a Fighter pilot?
4. Which schools/academy/university should a wannabe fighter pilot enroll in?
5. Brief synopsis of a Fighter Pilot life

If any LYN forumers have additional info, insights, or stories related to Fighter pilot, feel free to post.
