I noticed that most of the active/new threads relate to new projects.

Let's have a discussion on commercial property, specifically shoplots.

What are you thoughts? Do you think subsale shoplots are good for rental play? Or do you think the mushrooming shopping malls will take over from shoplots in due course from eateries to sale of goods, pharmacies, clinics and so on?

Bank Loan - affirm SD for owner's occupation

Is it 'standard' or 'normal' for banks to insist that the borrower affirms a statutory declaration that the house is for owner's occupation?

I am getting a loan from CIMB and they are insisting on this provision. I plan to go with another bank if CIMB does not budge on this.

Anyone manage to get this requirement waived by their respective banks for their loans?

Abandoned Apartment/Flat @ TTDI/Jln Datuk Sulaiman

This project at the end of Jln Datuk Sulaiman at TTDI has been abandoned for the longest time. I drove past recently and it appears to me that the project is being revived? At least there is a new coat of paint and some construction activities to the project. I saw some bare red bricks that were freshly laid.

Kindly contribute if you know of something. Thanks folks.

Damansara Jaya @ KDU side

I am shopping for a property.

I have narrowed my choices to Damansara Jaya. I saw a few units at the opposite side of KDU. a basic unit is about 650k to 800+k.

However, prices at KDU side is about 500k+.

I shall be grateful to hear from you on what is the fair price to pay.
