Car Insurance NCD Issue

Hi all,

I currently have 2 cars under my name (car 1 and car 2). Car 1 has full 55% NCD and car 2 only has 30% until end of this year.

I plan to sell car 2 (the 1 with less NCD) but don't plan to buy another car now. Will this affect car 1 (with 55% NCD)?

I suppose if I buy a new car (car 3) in the future (maybe 3 years later), the 30% NCD of the car 2 will be reverted back to 0 so my possible future car 3 will start with 0 ncd right?

Please help sifus

Purchase of Accident Report Result

Dear all,

I was involved in a 4-car accident (I am the second car from the front). Basically it is a "sandwich" accident where the car at the back (4th car) hit the 3rd car which hit me and I hit the front car.

The result came out where the last car is the car responsible for the accident and was fined by the police.

My question: Do i need to purchase all documents (Salinan Repot for all cars involved, Gambar Kemalangan for all cars involved etc.) or can I just purchase the "Keputusan Kes" for insurance claims?

I ask so as the cost of purchasing all the materials is around to RM50 as there are so many reports, photos of fronts and backs etc.

Please share your experience and knowledge. Thank you and have a good day ahead.

When Do You Think This Holiday "Frenzy" Will End?

Since the end of MCO in April of 2022, we went into what I like to call "holiday frenzy" where Malaysians feel the need to go holiday (oversea, local, balik kampung, visit friends in another state etc.). The frenzy is still continuing strongly as cars traveling interstate are significantly more than before MCO / 2020.

Before 2020, usually on a normal Friday (without any holiday on Monday), we only seen more cars traveling from KL to other states until around 8pm and the traffic would get alot lighter. Nowadays, even at 10pm to 11pm on a random Friday (such as last Friday 7th June) without any additional holiday, there was still a jam near Nilai and Seremban (southbound).

Same goes with KLIA and Immigration for renewing passport.

When do you think this frenzy will end? Do you think it will ever end? What do you think government can / should do?

P/s: I am mainly referring to the terrible jams at interstate highways as many Malaysians (myself included) need to rely on them (PLUS) for work.

Drivers not turning on their headlights

Hi all, I have been wanting to open a thread about this issue.

I have been driving quite a lot lately on PLUS highway, especially from 6pm to 9pm and I found that many drivers do not turn on their headlights (or only turn on their "small" lights) during relatively heavy rain and when night time is approaching. There were a few instances where I basically almost did not see a car switching to my lane as it was almost completely dark at around 7.30pm. There were also some instances that cars in front of me did not not turn on their lights during quite heavy rain and even though I drove way behind them, it is very uncomfortable as I think we should always turn our headlights to be visible by other drivers.

Have you experienced such issues before?

Why do you think some drivers do not turn on their headlights? Forget to do so or other reasons?

Should government mandate future cars to either have automatic headlights system or have always on headlights like motorcycle?

What would you do under this scenario?

Hi all,

What would you do if you are in this scenario?

I was driving earlier to work and i saw the car next to me (on my left) wave at me with her hands. I rolled down the window and the lady told me to stop at sidewalk / road shoulder. I thought there was a problem with her car or something weird.

After I parked my car on the road shoulder, the lady told me i hit her car from behind few hundred meters before she waved at me. She claimed that her car moved a little bit while stuck in traffic that it must mean i hit her from behind.

I dont quite remember whether she was in front of me before but i am sure I did not hit anything. Then i check both cars (my front and her back) and there was no damage to both of our cars (I did not check every detail but from what i can see, no damage at all meaning no bump no scratch etc.). Of course i told her i did not hit her but she insisted I did and ask for compensation or report to police and she wanted to change her entire back bumper with new paint. She also claimed she knows many police and will report to the police (charging me for this issue or drive dangerously).

I was in a rush to work and did not have time to take photo for the incident as i felt like she was being unreasonable (she also did not take any photo either). I just left.

That's the entire story.

What would you do if you are me now? Should I report to the police for this incident just to clarify the entire story or should i just not do anything? What if she does report to the police and somehow the police deemed i was wrong?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I really wish to get helpful comment so please no trolling. Thank you.

P/s: I did not have dash cam with me unfortunately

edit: spelling

Fastest way to get from TBS to Taylor Uni Lakeside

Hi all,

Can anyone share the fastest way to get from TBS at Bandar Tasik Selatan to Taylor University Lakeside Campus using public transportation?

There are a few options based on google search:

1. TBS to KL sentral via KTM, then from KL sentral to Setia Jaya station via KTM, then BRT to Taylor uni

2. TBS to Masjid Jamek via lrt, then Masjid Jamek to USJ 7 via lrt kelana jaya line, then BRT to Taylor uni

3. TBS to KL sentral via KTM, then KL sentral to Setia Jaya station via KTM, then BRT to Taylor uni

Highly appreciate if anyone can provide more information on such issue including if there is another way to Taylor uni or which of the 3 options is the fastest way there.

Also, roughly how much time is required to travel from TBS to Taylor Uni? (I know currently the KTM and LRT trains are operating at less capacity but appreciate if anyone can provide a rough estimation of the time required)

Thank you.

SOP for Govt Clinic

I went to Klinik Kesihatan Cheng in Melaka with my elderly mother who has spinal issue and cannot walk properly even with a cane. She has multiple history of falling down in the past. She also cannot communicate effectively in Malay and English.

The nurses / officers (don't think I should include their names here so I will call them Ms. N and Mr. S) did not allow me to accompany my mother as they deemed "my mother does not need me".

However, many other couples (including husband and wife, mother and son, father and daughter etc.) were allowed to enter together by these nurses (especially Ms N) without much inquiries. Many pairs (at least 10) can simply walk in. All of them were younger than my mother, can walk fine and did not have more valid reason to be accompanied by family member. The nurses also did not record the number of people enter to the clinic area (and lied that they do). They also refused to explain why can't I accompany my mother while others can do so. It seems like the SOP is according to the discretion and the mood of the nurses. "If they like you, they will allow you to enter. If not, wait outside". My situation was no different than many other pairs but some can enter and some cannot. An elderly Chinese man who accompanied his wife (both are in their 70s and 80s) was also rejected and the nurses asked the elderly woman to enter alone without her husband. He had the same complaint as I.

I then went and asked Ms N why other pairs are allowed to enter and she just said "doctor wants to see them together", even though all of them just parked their cars and walked in.

It seems like the SOP of KKM clinics are based on the mood of the nurses / officers outside the clinic. If they don't like you, you are waiting outside.

Anyone else has the same issue?

Tl;dr: SOP in KKM clinic is based on the mood of the the nurses outside and can do whatever they want without standard at all.

Edit: Adding info. Also, I suppose I should have the expectation such discrepancies in SOP would exist. Just very frustrated with the nurses and many other civil servants.

YES Kasi Up is jokingly bad.

Bought Yes Kasi Up from Shopee for RM1 to try and was horribly dissapointed. I couldn't believe how bad YES is.

Did my online registration through YES App. Everything went well and registration was successful. Somehow the sim card cannot be used at all (no internet, no sms, no phone calling, nothing).

Called YES for help on the 13/01/2021.

Received a call from a technical support officer wanted to assist me. Failed horribly. The officer seems to have no idea how the system works. Asked me to submit all relevant documents for manual registration. Documents submitted on 14/01/2021.

Until now still cannot use it. Talked to 5-6 people from YES all seem to have no idea what is the issue and no idea how their system works. 1 officer even told me the registration has been completed and I cannot use it due to coverage (eventhough I stay in a major city center)

Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. Horrible experience. Wasted probably RM20 to call them.

E-Penjana Issues and Problems

Hi all,

Is there any other way of getting the E-Penjana money other than the requirement of having Mysejahtera and 1 of the 3 e-wallet apps?

I am sharing my sim card with my elderly mother (she has a mobile phone but no sim card coz that phone is for messenger and games only) coz we always go out together and I have a fixed line phone at home. Last time RM30 doesn't require mysejahtera app so I can use my sim card for 2 people using 2 e-wallet apps. Now because of mysejahtera she needs to install the mysehjatera app on her phone but without sim card, she cannot register for any e-wallet app.

I also have a friend in Kelantan where the entire household only the husband has a mobile. The wife (not working), the parents of the husband all don't have mobile phone (they have fixed line phone at home just like myself).

Then there any millions of adult Malaysians living in very rural area that have no mobile phone.

My question: is there a way for my mother to get the RM50 without a sim card or a registered mobile number? How bout my friend's family members? Any way around?

Thank you

Why the KL metro system is not underground?

I have recently started working at KL and holys**t the metro system is bad. Now I don't mean the locations of the metro stations but rather the connections of the metro networks.

Except for connections between KTM Komuter (which is totally unreliable and slow) and other lines, the connections between 1 line and another line is superbly bad and require alot of walking to reach the connecting station.

A simple solution for such problem is the use of underground metro system where multiple lines can be build at the same locations, stacking on each other similar to metro system of Hong Kong, China or Japan.

So why don't we have such system? Is it because of cost, complications or technical difficulties of implementing such underground system?

When to Pass the Home Key to the Buyer?

Hi

my mother is one of the owners of a house and they decided to sell the house. The buyer will pay by the end of June (within the period of 3 months from the time the transaction was approved by land office).

However, the buyer wanna have the house key earlier so that he can renovate the house earlier. One of the owners agrees to that and the other not (reason: money comes key goes kind of logic).

So, anyone can provide some advice for me regarding this matter?

Thank you and cheers!

p/s: we are using lawyers from buyer.

Question Regarding Passed Away Co-owner

Hi all,

My father passed away in 1987 and did not have a will. I recently found out that he was the co-owner of a house in KL with 3 of his siblings (3 of my uncles).

Question: Can I still do house ownership transfer from my father to me? Can the other 3 co-owners sell the house / delete my father name as the co-owner of the house?

What should I do now?

Thank you for reading and any advice is welcomed.

Cannot start my motorcycle

Hi all,

I have a motorcycle and I didn't use it for 6 months due to working in other places. I realize I cannot start it, the choke stucked and the leg starter is kinda jam-ish (not smooth).

At first I was able to get the engine running for like few seconds and once I rotate the gas pedal, the engine died immediately and after that, I cannot start it at all.

I am a newbie in motorcycle so I won't repair myself. Anyone can tell me roughly how much should I pay when I sent it to motorcycle shop? Anything that I should keep my eyes on when I send it to the shop?

Thanks a million!
