I thought now no more restriction for 10km.

I went a bit further than 10km and pretended that I stayed nearby but he insisted on electric bill, hence why I quoted the berita on the uplift of restriction.

Lucky my friend stayed nearby and hence familiar with the condo there. Told him I rented there, and thank god he didn't probe further, although he looks prepared.

Abang pulis said no such thing on the berita, said "tunjuk mana berita tu, I nak tengok". Then proceed to say "kalau betul saya kat sini buat apa?"

Mistakes were made cuz Ampang is split between KL and Selangor, and he said "you take sini border kan", then I said year but I tabao saja, lepas tu balik.

Then he said "kenapa tak Grab". Is our pulis force indirectly endorsing Grab???

I don't get it, I know politicians always vie for the big positions, but do you think once you get it, it's that easy without accountability, especially from the Chinese community? Do you know how much maruah means in Chinese philosophy, that it's very important, ranking much more than life itself? There are some buttlickers but in general, they care a lot about face. I'm not talking about maruah tergugat, I'm talking about:

NOT LIVING UP TO EXPECTATIONS

Imagine getting tsk tsk tsk from your parents, now grow up getting tsk tsk tsk from the rakyat, due to own mistakes (now personal attack by other despicables). Whole life you're aiming towards greatness, and once you get there, suddenly you see all the non-believers / sceptics and so you strive to prove them wrong. Then an event that is out of your control happened, and your whole life's work almost got decimated by the media. Man I'm not sure this is worth pursuing, even if there's bucks on the table. I guess I'm not trained to delve in the "dark side".

TLDR: jangan cakap banyak2 sampai berbuih mulut, lebih baik buat baik banyak2

Foreign Investment

I'm sure everyone here realises the importance of FDI, that it bring financial capital, technology transfer, know-hows, higher wages, etc. But there's one gripe I have is that our government is still confident with the current state of our FDI (house on fire, but pretend all is ok). TBH, it's not looking good. I'm staying the obvious, but from my conversation with foreign investors, there's solid reason not to look at MY now. I'm not talking about our fundamentals, but more of our governmental policies and the current state of '30%' as what we call it in /k.

Without further badmouthing our our country, let's look at what's happening. We can see how foreign money has been pouring into Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam. And how they have been adapting to COVID, the right PR to the world, projecting growth at a rapid pace. Their story makes sense, that they're going to do well. What about us, keep pretending like nothing bad is happening, denying everything about the reality and facts, and what is the message we're sending to the world?

With Biden administration coming in, and politically things are going to stabilise (with the exception of US-China relations), more foreign money will start to pour and now is the most opportune time to reach out. Our neighbors have already snapped such opportunity and we're left with the crumbs. How will this bode for our future?

We need competent leaders, and I'm pretty sure all of you have faced lousy bosses. You can jump companies, but your country? You're stuck, and this is the feeling I'm getting right now. *Incoming "kau tak suka, kau keluar!"'

The word "babi"

Babi is such a unique word, blasphemous to some yet versatile in many ways, although it has to be used in a proper context

Scenario:
1. When expressing dissatisfaction or anger: "babinyeeee"
2. When cursing someone: "eh babi"
3. When cursing someone in the car or not in the presence of that person: "ko babi ke apa?" "babiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"
4. When calling out someone's ignorance/stupidity: "kenapa ko babi sangat?"
5. When insulting someone's intelligence (although pig is a highly intelligent animal): "ko otak babi la" "jangan pikir macam babi"
6. When explaining a person's excessive action: "kebabian yang terlampau"
7. When talking about taking a bad stance or making a decision: "jangan jadi macam babi"
8. Response at the receiving end of a joke: "haha babi!"
