My Rebuilding Journey begins

Hi,

Rebuilding my recently purchased Semi-D to improve built up and rework the old piping etc. TOtal duration planned 6 months. here are some initial pics:

My biggest challenge thus far is to level the ground floor. Today, the entrance hall and dining are saparated by 2 feet elevation. As i have yound kids, i am not keen with the elevation, so i am levelling the floors. The only thing is, instead of loosing out ceiling height on the groun floor, we have taken the approach to bring entire house level 0.5 as low as the foundation allows to level 0 (hall). So far, manage the bring the ground floor down by 1 foot..so have to raise hall by 1 foot....still will have a ceiling height of 10 feet once we have plaster ceiling!

Taman Yarl Semi-D vs Country heights?

Hi,

Am wanting some feedback and point of views from the ground. Am looking at 2 properties, semi-d.Oneis in Yarl, its a rather old house but looks not bad, asking 1.2M, but has 5200 Sqft land..its a corner semi-d. The 1st owner probably purchased it for about 500-600K 7 years. Its not anywhere close to the main road, its actually quiet inside, near the rear entrance of the SMK taman yarl.

The other option is in BUkit impian country heights. New houses, same land size about same price too.

What i see main difference:

Yarl : Location, location location X 10
CH : Gated & branded and not too hard to get expat tenant to rent, Yarl not that easy to get tenant

CH: More bungalows being built up there now and the palce is becoming pretty mature, downside is, Bkt impian is near rail track but not so noisy lah.

School:
Kindi : CH i think got inside, outside closes i think are mostly private or int. Do you know any good public schools around country heights?
Yarl : Very mature and close to many good schools.

Family:
Wife side: In kajang, so easy to dump baby, uncle lives in CH, so easy to dump baby
My side: Damn far in klang wor!

Price neg:
Yarl : Non Neg
CH: Can neg a bit

Have only a 1 year old baby.

If you guys were in my shoes, what are you thoughts on both these as a choice home?

Hi there,

I'm looking for a short term 1 bedroom rent around taman desa/seputeh area for myself and my wife who are back to KL for vacation! We would like not to bother family! Anything nice decent and not too expensive is preferred, wanted from September 1st onwards until November.

Any help or suggestions?
