Good and cheap BB

Hi, I have been using the P1 UH235 modem, Wiggy Plan 39 DL 1Mbps, UP 512Kbps, 2GB Quota..
This seems very good to me, but the signal is not so good (How to say, sometimes signal get 20%, 40% sometimes get 60% or 80%), overall the DL speed is very good, but UL speed is disappointing.. And it is so f**king hard to get connected..

the UL speed get a constant speed of 0.02Mbps or 20Kbps equivalent to 2.5KB/s which is super slow..
I was planning to use it for at least normal online gaming, but if upload is unable to reach more than 250Kbps is not good (Not even getting more than 50Kbps lolx)..

So is there any other suggestion? I would like to return the modem to P1, as I only tested it for the first day and it was awful ady..

Terminate my Maxis BB

Hi everyone,

I wanted to terminate my Maxis BB and subscribe a new plan..
I am told that the plan is bind to 6 months contract due to no nid to pay for the Dongle and after 6 months you are free to discontinue the service.. I just read the regulation from Maxis page, and know that there is a penalty..
So If I only use it for 7 months, If I wanted to terminate now, I will be penalized RM 200?

Seriously, there is still a regulation for this? At least 1 year?

Hi all,

I am looking for a router or access point, which could cater at least 20 users to connect to it at once.
I have look into the device like D-link DIR 615, but did not know if it is able to cater the number of users I mentioned above. Assume the router is capable to cater such number of users, but what I concerned that is, the lifespan of the router will eventually decrease and I might need to get a new one..

Appreciate if anyone could help me explain on this and recommend me a good router..

PS: Plus VPN connection enabled up to many users.

After the current Maxis Broadband contract is expired, think of want to get a broadband like P1 One Plan.
One is for Home and another is for outdoor.

Any other suggestion? I would like to have 2 outdoor actually, so I can share the bandwidth with my friend..

JApplet RFID Program

I manage to read the RFID tag's data in normal Java program, but I was told by some Low Yat forumer to use applet to communicate with the web site, however I have no idea how to do it.. cos what I did was, I just add the "extends applet" things, do this count as applet oso??? Cos it does not show any value on the JFrame actually and I nid applet to pass the variable I read to servlet for database input using URL connection...

FYI, I use the RXTX library, bcos the reader I used did not supply any library... The java program I wrote is actually only get read data from the USB port, is there any idea how to embed this java program to website???

If there is any other solution other than applet, please tell me too... Its very urgent

How to start a RFID programming?

Hi,

My situation now is, I have a web based system for food ordering, what should I do with the RFID programming which it will be used to scan the food to retrieve the food price in a web based system.

I was planning to use Java for the RFID programming, but I have no idea how to start the coding. Im using netbeans for the web based system, for RFID system, do I need to separate it from the web? If I have 2 projects in Netbeans, one is the web application another is for the RFID application, is it possible for me to link both projects together? Because I want to retrieve data from the RFID tag to the web based system and store in the database.

Also, I noticed the Java Card in Netbeans, is the Java Card is meant for RFID technology too???

PS: If im was using Java applet for the RFID, the Java applet should write in the web project or separately(in different project)?

Passing arraylist from a client to another client?

My situation, there is Client A and Client B, Client A send an arraylist to servlet to save in MySQL and Client B retrieve the arraylist from MySQL right after Client A send it...

Is there any other way to do this other than refresh Client B page periodically???
