expected, current and offered salary

I am currently working as test development ( software coding and hardware designing ) Engineer in US MNC manufacturing company in Seremban..
I went for interview last week for software Engineer (R&D) position in LOCAL PUBLIC LISTED COMPANY in KL...
I do not know the market rate for 5 years experience software Engineer since I am applying from different field so I just write "negotiable" (without figure) in the expected salary in application column ..

During interview, it went well , the hiring manager ask me expected salary , since I just write negotiable in expected salary column . I said I do not know about the pay rate for 5 years experience.
The hiring manager propose RM4.5K which is only RM40 higher than my current salary. As I have good impresion with the hiring manager and wanted the job, so I said ok to write RM4500 there.
I have 5+ years exp , my current pay is 4.46K + 1.5 Month contractual bonus which payout every month (total RM5K/month). There is also half yearly performance bonus of of 1.2K + 1.4K =2.6K. Total average pay every month is RM5240.5.

The HR manager called and offred me basic pay of RM4500. I request to increase a little (few hundred )since I moving to relocate at KL and high living cost of KL, she said she has to discuss with the hiring manager and Managing director. then she engaged the phone (to act like calling to the hiring manager),
After about 10 to 20 second, she connect back to my phone and said that the hiring manager do not agree to increase my salary.

I asked the HR manager again about the yearly bonus, she said she do not know about the yearly bonus figure but the company is pay out the yearly bonus during chinese new year period, I ask her again how much is the historical(last year) Bonus amount, HR manager said she just join in the company 2 months and do not know the bonus rate.
She asked me to ask the hiring manager myselffor bonus amount , I said OK, connect me to talk to the hiring manager, then in few seconds, she said the hiring manager is not around.

After that, she said she will discuss with MD and hiring manager about the salary figure and job offered again and end the call.

summary:

They offered me RM4500 without the yearly Bonus amount agreement. While my current pay include bonus (contractual) is about RM5240.5 average each month.
I have the feeling that HR manager keep play acting just want me to accept the offer (RM4.5K) which is lower than my current pay(RM5.4K).
I dont understand a local public listed in MAIN board company is hiring talent in this way?
Does the salary negotation need to involve and decided by hiring manager & MD?
The HR manager keep play acting and do not sincerely talk abut the benefit..

Is it too late to change career?

I have working in semiconductor field for 3 years. It is very tiring and troublesome to work in semiconductor field , the resource is not enough(tester time), the time line is very tight , we are always 'stuck' in the position and conflict to borrow tester from production to run our activity...

Our Big Boss or even direct Boss have limited knowledge on the technical stuff, they expect the work is easy, they seemed not appreciate the effort our Engineer put in.

They just want to squeeze us for output/meet project time line by setting the goal/rule without understand the difficulty but they cant offer any significant help/advise..

Beside that, we always need to do like the technician/operator upon the request of Oversea Engineer(Europe, US and etc...).

I feel like working in semiconductor field is kinda ' dark route' , repeatable, time consuming but no knowledge gaining, no value.

From what i see in my current company , the Staff/Sr. Engineer here who have 6-20 years exp, their skill & knowledge level is no better or even worse than the junior Engineer. This give me the impression that they gain their Sr/Staff title status by spending the years of services rather than their ability/ capability..
Some of them even being 'snake' and push the 'dirty' work (non value but time consuming) to other people..
What they know is only 'talk' to cover their mistake, or promise empty promise..

Although the paid is quite OK(<4K), I feel like want to change field from Semiconductor to others, such as Electrical, Power.. Join other Engineering field which have long term prospect.. Any suggestion?

whoever have the history of change career path can help to give some advice?
Best 2.1 speaker ever:Altec Lansing-ACS48

My friend own 1 set of ACS-48 speaker, he bought it 8 years ago until now still working fine.

The sound for ACS-48 speaker really impress me and the sound signature is unforgettable and uncomparable to what available in the market for below 1K price range.

The sound stage is so huge and rich, the mid&treble is full of detail and sweet. The bass is tempting & deep..

It use a TDA7294 IC amplifier 100W rating to pump the 20W satelite speaker.. This is amazing.. Total 3 TDA7294 IC for Subwoofer and 2 front speaker.

Just imagine, it is really overpower..

Unfortunately it is already stop production for long time. Anybody own the ACS-48? I would like to buy this speaker for second hand..

http://www.targetpc.com/hardware/audio/speakers/altec48/

QUOTE

I found three TDA7294 IC amplifiers screwed to a massive heatsink that could easily pump out 100 watts each! If the power supply was a bit beefier, a full 300 watts of peak power could be squeezed down the dinky little wires that connect the satellites to the woofer box. Somehow, I'm moderately relieved that Altec decided NOT to do this as these jewels nearly make your pants leg (or skirts)flap.

The web is a wonderful place, call it God's library, to find out just about anything you'd want to...and some stuff that you wouldn't want to. The spec sheet for the TDA7294 claims that the chips can pump 100 watts into a 4 or 8 ohm load. Small dips in the impedance curves stress an amplifier, sometimes to gross distortion, and when you decide to crank the 48's up, you find yourself shouting to anyone, even if they're only 12" from you! I was able to measure over 110 decibel peaks at a distance of 2 feet. This is loud...lease breaking loud for those apartment dwellers out there. Can you imagine the landlord throwing you out because "your computer is too loud?" With the 48's, it's not only a possibility, it's a reality. Watch your volume levels folks, before you can't hear the beautiful noises that emanate from the paper and plastic cones.

http://www.targetpc.com/hardware/audio/speakers/altec48/

Edifier S530 performance price ratio

S530D user attention..

I found the S530 lack of Hi freqency(treble) and low frequency(bass) response... Lack of pre-amp enhancement

Good quality is the noise level is very low and sound is clean.. quality build.

I found my R202 is sound better (higher Hi-freqency-treble- ) when connect the S530D Satelite as compare to S530D.

Although S530D is definitely louder ..

How can it be? Consider the price range..
Any comment? how was the setting for S530 treble and bass you prefer?
How to boost the performance further?
The knowlege i knew can totally applied to Company C, because they use same tools and software, even product knowledge is similar to my 2 years experience at company A.

Anyboday try to jump company without increment?

Now i feel the Company C is bully and squezz my pay after knowing i am unhappy at current company.
Do you think i should join Com C..
