Magnitude 7.0 quake hits Japan

A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 struck under the sea several hundred miles south of Japan on Sunday, shaking buildings in the capital, but officials said there was no danger of a tsunami.

The quake struck near the uninhabited island of Torishima in the Pacific Ocean, 370 miles south of Tokyo, and its epicenter was about 230 miles below the sea, the Meterological Agency said.
The agency said there was no danger of a tsunami.

Buildings in the Tokyo area shook but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Express trains in northern and central Japan were suspended temporarily for safety checks but later resumed.

No abnormalities were reported at power plants in the region, including the crippled nuclear power plant hit by the March earthquake and tsunami, public broadcaster NHK reported.

Northeastern Japan was devastated by a massive earthquake and tsunami on March 11 that left nearly 20,000 people dead or missing. Japan, which lies along the Pacific "Ring of Fire," is one of the world's most seismically active countries.

Assume there is a student from kampong , family poor (needed help just as much as the others) , study 10 hours ++ everyday for 2 years( i mean literally everyday) , he did great in stpm but can't even get a not popular course from local U because of quota

I am a utar student currently and i had done the stpm as a private candidate , just got my stpm result few days ago

CHEM A-
PHYSICS B+
MATH T A-
cgpa 3.67

i want to stop study at utar because i don't like there at all , but i already into year 1 sem 3 at there , so my mother keep scold me , she said i shouldn't quit utar and just continue , she is very upset because she have spend like 20k++ for me to studied at utar(foundation until now).

i was hoping to enter university like um and ukm or sg uni

please offer me some advice , continue at utar or quit and wait upu result?

i am a ipts student but i did stpm as a private student last year, today i get my result and was thinking about transfer to public universities , but i am worry about ptptn because i already borrow the money at this ipts le , if i transfer to public universities , will they lend me money again ?
