Hey everyone!!

Just got my keys to my own crib in USJ. As the topic says, I'm looking into renovation in a few stages and I'm looking for a contractor that is willing to provide those services

Stage 1:
Rewiring, adding plug points, changing lights and fan. Change the main power supply housing, cause it looks dangerous.
Plumbing works, inspect and suggest a good system for pump system including installation of toilet bowls etc. Pump system may be supplied loose
Extension of master bedroom and toilet.

Stage 2:
Breaking side wall to extend sliding mirror size
Change out grills.

Hey guys,

I know it's a recurring topic but I have my own set of questions. I used to do Uber during the glory days when it payed well and was wondering. How is grab nowadays?

I'm posing this questions to those part timers out there that do it before and after work. How's the income like on average?

Let's say 6-8am, 6-10pm three times a day, 12 times a month. Is it worth going through the hassle of registration with grab as per government requirements? Does it yield significant pay after deduction of petrol and general maintenance of your vehicle?

Masters or Work?

Hello

I just finished all my exams. I didn't get a good weighted average mark because I messed up an entire year (failed like 4 units total in a year) due to personal reasons. I'm thinking of doing my masters to make up for it.

I studied at Monash Malaysia and I'm planning to pursue my masters in international business there too. I'm just wondering if employers will actually look at my undergrad or post-grad results when I'm applying. I also have no work experience but I plan to do an internship during my masters.

I also went to find out from student services, they print out two slips.. one a combined (masters + degree) and separate transcript.

If I actually do my masters, I might consider even doing a professional cert like CFA since I'll have time to do it.

I'm really worried about it and I want to find a stable and secured job so I'm still deciding.

Requirements for a full stack web developer?

Hello I'm just curious what would a non-IT degree holder who is a self-taught programmer need to know in order to be considered a full stack developer?

Here's a summary of what I know:
- almost 6 years of coding experience, started when I was really young
- wordpress (havent really done much development lately though but i used to do custom themes/plugins)
- laravel, codeigniter (now mainly laravel)
- mybb (developed a few plugins, and integrated with laravel)
- i havent explored unit testing but other than that i'm pretty fluent with laravel
- built a fairly large portal for a gaming site which serves multiple functions (display aggregate statistics, crud, integration with mybb, etc)
- i know javascript, but not so much of the design patterns
- ive used vue.js, jquery and other libraries for front end
- for backend i've toyed around with node.js but havent really messed around with proper frameworks like express.js
- i feel the same about PHP, i mean i know oop, mvc and basic design patterns but i feel i could learn more
- im comfortable with sass, bootstrap
- im comfortable with linux environments
- im comfortable with apis and payment gateaways but i've only ever used paypal

What else would I need to master to become a full stack programmer? or at least a server-side developer?

Yesterday it was very slight now it has become worse, I usually let my dog loose outside to play around in the day. Then suddenly I noticed it today when it became more red and bigger. The other side of the tail is also starting to get the same thing.

I'm planning to take it to a vet tmr.

I knew about Laravel for sometime but I was anxious to actually try it because it looked way more complex compared to CodeIgniter (the framework that I used for about 2-3 years). But now after getting used to it and learning it, I absolutely love it. I think everything is structured just right.

I also started playing with Vue.js, it looks cool. I heard its a stripped down version of React/Angular? Another 2 JS frameworks I'm still a bit anxious to learn but eventually I guess.

So any of you guys here use Laravel/Vue.js? I thought it'd be cool to get a thread going about it
