So guys I bought this RAM from fellow lowyter few years ago. Back then still using DDR2 pc. I bought this RAM for rm100+ and when the seller sold me, he did mention he may send other branded RAM then Kingston, so I okey only la as long as it works. So yeah I received this RAM finally, it is some Chinese branded RAM which I never heard of, somemore with AMD only from here - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32491955587.html

Luckily I was using AMD only cpus back then and I just pasang it to avoid hassle sending back and arguing . Now I want to sell this off d for some money. So my question is whether this RAM will work in Intel CPUs?Anybody have any experience handling these RAMs. It worked in my AMD PC. Hope I can get my answer here. Thank you

Upgrading for HTPC

Hello there. I am planning to build a HTPC for the whole family usage, minor gaming maybe in future. The thing which I am worried are the budget, electricity bill as the HTPC usually will be running everyday, not to mean 24/7 though, sort of 5h usage everyday, planning to use it on watching HD(720p,1080p) videos, youtube streaming, surfing and P2P downloads. I am not that of an heavy user. I actually have an old build which have been inactive for like 2 years due to faulty GPU and HDD(have to replace these), now planning to revive it but before doing that. I want to ask advises of pros here whether is it really recommended. won't be needing monitor as will be connecting with TV via VGA to HDMI converter

If I stick with the old build, only got to buy a new HDD and a VGA to HDMI adapter, that will cost like RM 200. If I got to go with the new build, planning to sell the old build(except PSU) for RM200 and use the money to buy the new parts, I got to top up like RM 350(that's alot of money for me but if its worth it to upgrade in long term,than I am willing to) for the new parts though, these are based on my assumption though .Any build which can save money and suit my preferences are much appreciated . Or should I stick with the old build?, will it hold enough with those HD videos streaming, looking for a smoother experience, how will it affect the electricity bill, and one more, will the video/audio quality by using VGA to HDMI converter differ compared to direct connection by only using HDMI cable...hope u guys can enlighten me up. Thanks!
