Went to the Scott garden outlet of chi fitness to take a look as I was thinking of switching gyms and because its nearer to my place. I thought of taking a look at the equipment they have and to survey the prices as well.

The receptionist who greeted me was nice and friendly enough. The staff was also nice and friendly, but unfortunately gave those hard sell tactic even though I said just wanted to look around. I told the staff I just wasn't going to sign up on the spot. Then the sales manager came over, tried to act friendly and asked me why I'm not singing up but it was in a very confrontational manner. Was obvious he was pissed off then tried to pressure me further saying how they were so sincere in offering me packages but I didn't appreciate it. Seemed like he didn't want to let me leave without signing up so I just took his card and quickly ended the convo.

Such a terrible experience, I hate when sales people try to pull the hard sell and intimidate tactic. To be fair their gym looked good enough and they were actually cheaper than my current membership, but no way I am signing up with them with such shitty sales manager and thuggish ways 😒😒

I'm planning to go exercise outdoors since gym has become kind of routine for me.

I realize I still need to carry some stuff like my keys, phone, bottle (I commute by train so I cant keep these in a car)

Long story short, I paid for an intangible item ( editing and proof reading) and what was delivered to me was complete and utter crap.

I already started a dispute claim on PayPal but I'm not sure about my chances of having my refund

I've been noticing these people going around restaurants asking for donations. Its always for an orphanage, asking you to sponsor tuition fees for the kids and such.

They always carry a binder in their hand, to show more info about the orphanage. It really reminds me of how MLM people explain their stuff. Most them are quite persistent, even after waving them off or telling them you're not interested they always ask for a few minutes. When they do that I'm already sure a chunk of what they collect goes into their own pockets.

So what is the scoop on this? Are they legit or a scam?

Been dealing with this lecturer who's an absolute pretentious prick.

The issue here is this lecturer demands to be listed as co-author for all our literature review (assignments). Said lecturer has not even lifted a finger to mark or grade our papers. Other lecturers I have encountered have been far more helpful and yet they do not demand this. I feel that this lecturer wants to take advantage of our work to boost their credentials along the way.

What is your opinion on this and have any of you been in this situation?

Hi people! I just started skyping with some friends and I realized the inbuilt cam on my laptop makes it look like i use a potato to video chat. Then some said i look like im talking to them from a dark room

So i'm wondering is there any webcam in the market that provides good quality pictures? I did google some and logitech came up as one of the best but sigh i'm on a shoestring budget with rm150. So what do you think, is there any that you would recommend?
