My wife feel loya-loya and vomit. I take to clinic and they tell my wife is pregnant. Yuhuuu. My first baby.

LABUAN: Ghairah untuk mendapatkan hadiah mahal yang kononnya dikirim dari luar negara, seorang usahawan muda kerugian lebih RM420,000 selepas diperdaya supaya menyelesaikan pelbagai bayaran bagi mendapatkan ‘hadiah mewah’ itu yang kononnya disimpan pihak berkuasa Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) di Sepang, Selangor.

Mangsa diminta melakukan 15 transaksi pembayaran dalam beberapa akaun individu tertentu yang dipercayai milik anggota sindiket penipuan itu bagi memastikan bungkusan yang kononnya mengandungi emas, jam tangan emas, komputer riba, telefon bimbit dan sejumlah wang berada dalam genggamannya. Ketua Polis Daerah Labuan, Superintendan Saiman Kasran berkata, siri penipuan itu bermula awal bulan lalu apabila mangsa yang berusia 34 tahun, menerima e-mel daripada seorang wanita pada 9 Oktober lalu.

Katanya, wanita itu mendakwa mangsa bakal menerima bungkusan berharga dan diminta memberikan butir peribadi termasuk nombor telefon, nombor kad pengenalan serta alamat untuk bungkusan itu diserahkan.

Menurutnya, tanpa berfikir panjang, mangsa melengkapkan permintaan itu dan tiga hari selepas itu, dia menerima panggilan daripada seorang lelaki kononnya hadiah dihantar syarikat kurier menggunakan pesawat dari United Kingdom sudah berada di KLIA.

“Namun, barangan itu kononnya ditahan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (KDRM) kerana melebihi berat 29 kilogram dan perlu menyelesaikan pembayaran berkaitan,” katanya. Saiman berkata, mangsa kemudian melakukan pembayaran dan menyedari ditipu dua hari selepas tidak menerima bungkusan seperti dijanjikan sebelum membuat laporan di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Labuan di sini, kelmarin.

“Mangsa melakukan beberapa pembayaran termasuk penalti barangan itu sebanyak RM3,800, wang untuk mengeluarkan bungkusan itu daripada tahanan KDRM RM18,700 dan dua transaksi untuk pembayaran setem Bank Negara RM96,000,” katanya ketika dihubungi, semalam.

Menurut Saiman, mangsa yang mempercayai bahawa hadiah bakal menjadi miliknya akur memasukkan wang dalam beberapa jumlah sehingga jumlah keseluruhan melebihi RM420,000.

“Hanya selepas membuat pembayaran terakhir pada 26 Oktober lalu mangsa menyedari dirinya ditipu sindiket berkenaan,” katanya.
