External Hard Disk No Longer Detected

I have a Seagate Momentus 5400.6 plugged into a generic SATA External Casing.

It was running fine months ago, used on various different OS-es without a problem.

There is a small LED light used to show whether it is plugged in or not.

Recently once I plug it in to my PC, the light stays on for a minute or two then it extinguishes. The sound of the Windows Hardware Inserted sound can be heard, but then Windows Explorer shows that it isn't mounted.

Under Device Manager it shows that the USB Mass Storage and the Disk Drive is working properly but under Disk Management, the disk does not show up.

I have also tried it on Ubuntu and it detects it for a while then the LED goes off like in Windows.

I tried the various ways posted all across the internet and also steps from Seagate. Seatools doesn't work. When the Disk is plugged in, it never completes the scan until I remove the disk and then it doesn't scan it.

The BIOS method doesn't work for me as I have no laptop with SATA.

After plugging it in, the disk can be heard spinning but a click sound can be heard often until it suddenly stops along with the LED light.

Any suggestions? I was thinking it was the casing but then all you others might have other answers.

Don't mind me for writing this like an essay or something.
