Boring driving auto car...

Would to ask for some advice. I am driving civic ej year 97 with b16 auto engine? After driving it for 2 years I feel boring driving auto car.If I have budget around 10k, what is the best option for me?
1)convert engine to type r engine(my current engine is ok but hv leaking and aircond problem)
2)convert to manual gearbox only and use the rest of my money to upgrade my car
another one is i am not a type of guy who like to racing2, just want to hv a fun when driving.Is it a waste if i throw alot of money to change my engine?
