Funding a business. Options that are available.

Hi all,

I'm in the funding stage for my start-up business. The fund required is RM 200,000.

I would like to ask for some suggestion and ideas. Pros and cons of each options and the feasibility of each options. How about mixed funding?

The options that I already have researched are:

1. Investors - Cons. Will have to split company shares.

2. Family fund - Non direct cash. Fully paid property remortgage / refinance. The new loan will be under my name.

3. Government fund. SME Bank - How about availability and easiness of approval. Need lubang or not?

4. Private bank. - Not sure if they offer loans for start-up company or not.

5. Mixed fund - Mixture of some family fund, personal loan, credit cards or bank.

Hi all,

I've sold my AP from UK to a buyer in Malaysia. I have given him the documents (Eg, photocopy IC, passport and etc) he needed to process the AP. As well I've sign the MITI document. However,I didn't sign any lawyer agreement. I was told that the car that's gonna register under my name is a Mercedes Benz.

But it has been already 5 months. I chased him couple of times. He told me that MITI go problem. Alot of his AP cars is stranded in Customs. Blabla...

What can I do now? Is he cheating me?
Oh yea, can I check my name in JPJ to see if the UK car is registered under my name?

Hi all,

Business Partners, Investors, Sdn Bhd. The question is what is what and how it will work out. Sometimes I am quite confused with the partner, director and investor being mixed up. Ok. I'll try to feed much information on this scenario.

I have an business idea. The business idea has been drafted out by me. But there is no business plan yet. I found a friend of mine to be my partner to work together with me on this business. Of which the next stage is the business plan workout. Where both of us will work in the business plan together.

I think before me and my partner get deeper and proceed to the business plan workout stage, we should discuss on the business partnership agreement. Do you agree with me?

The nature of the business will be FnB. The estimated capital needed to run this business is from RM200k. I am planning to register the business as a Sdn Bhd company. Sdn Bhd, what do you guys think instead of partnership?

Next, lets say we are able to fork out RM50k each. Which means we need another RM100k. For the other RM100k, we are looking on investor for the fundings. Which means both of us are holding 25% shares each and the other 50% is with the investor (Sleeping). Right?

Can I appoint myself and my friend to be the directors of the company? Can the decision making only involves both of us because we are running the company while the investor is sleeping even he has more shares than us?

I hope you can understand what I am trying to say here. I am bad at words.

Airport transit Q & A

I have planned a flight from HK to KL via SG on transit. The transit gap is about 3 hours. I've checked, I'm actually able to leave the airport and go to buy a heavy electronic equipment at central and back to the airport after that. The question is, can I check in my newly bought stuff together with my existing checked in luggage that brought from HK?

Confused on what should I do after 2 years?

Hello all,

I do not know what I should do in the next 20 month. I've been thinking and thinking but still can't do not know what I should do. I have thoughts on:

1. Continue studying for degree in the UK or EU.
2. Save up a sum of money, go back Malaysia and continue what I do last time. Working as a technician.
3. Save up a sum of money, go back Malaysia and think of some business to do.
4. Save up a sum of money, go back Malaysia and be my friend's financial business partner and work together with him (Event company)
5. Apply for New Zealand / Australia working holiday maker. Earn and save money again.

I am 24 this year. I am just a Electronic Engineering Diploma holder. In the last 2 years I've worked as a technician in a MNC. I am just depending on OT to survive. My average salary is RM3000. Yet I can't hardly save. I know it is a big problem. I have have a debt of RM12k and a RM380 7 years car loan repayment now.

Just before the recession started in December. I've resigned to go to UK. Of which I think it is lucky because all the OT has been freezed. All my ex-colleague just surviving on the basic of RM1600-RM1800. (I've just received an e-mail, the company is going to retrench 20% of it's employee starting this May)

Currently I am a 2 years working holiday maker in the UK now. I work as a kitchen porter. Now, I am saving roughly 800 GBP (RM4000) per month after tax and expenses. The main reasons I want to go to UK is to earn/save money and travelling. What I have in mind now, is just work and save a sum of money then I intended to travel the EU at a minimal expenses maybe 10% of my targeted saving when my visa coming to an end. I am thinking/targeting of saving at least 15000 GBP before I come back to Malaysia.

Right now I only have 20 months left before my visa ends. What should I do after the 20 months?

I need your help. Recently the buzzer sounds whenever I turn on the ignition even the headlight is turn off. I've been driving with the buzzing sound for a few days ady. Pening pening~!

Can I know where izit located? It sounds like it's near 12v lighter plug. I wanna disable it.

Hey guys,

Ok, this is how it goes. Few months back, due to some reasons. I just couldn't resist it. I checked on her outgoing calls. Everyday, she's been calling a guy for a period of time. When I confronted her regarding this matter, she tried to turn the table on me. Saying that I didn't respect and trust her by invading her privacy and checking on her. And I played tai chi on her. Saying that I accidentally looked through the outgoing calls when I trying to reload her hp through online Digi OCS (She asked me to reload for her). Somehow she apologize to me and saying that it's just her customer. Closed case.

This time around. In these few days. Again for some same reasons, I checked on her outgoing calls again. She's been calling another guy everyday. Damn! I don't know what to do. Please help me. Should I confront her again or no?

Sometime we have some awkward period. As in she's being some kind to me (I don't know how to explain but I think you get what I mean). What I need is some good advice pertaining on how I should confront her and what I should talk to her to and stuffs like that without messing up the whole thing. And I do not want to end this relationship just because of this. Btw, am I too sensitive?

I'm planning to change my stock audio sets. Which includes HU, front speaker and rear speaker (located at door).
My budget is not that much. Roughly about RM1000 only. I'm not planning to fix any subs or amp in my car.

So any recommendations for me? I need a pair of 6 1/2" front speakers and 5 1/4" rear speakers.
My budget on a HU is roughly RM400-RM500. May I know how Kenwood and Alpine compares to each other?
Pioneer? Sorri boss.. Not really into it. It may have the power oompphhh but it produce harsher sound.

Problem details
Ok, I'm setting up the modem and router. The problem I'm having now are:

1. Unable to login to modem's ip 192.168.1.1 when connected to the router. (I can login to router ip 192.168.0.1)

2. Unable to login to router's ip when i choose the router connection setting to access point mode which disable the NAT. (instead i can login to the modem ip.

3. Which one should setup for auto connect with username and password? modem also can set and the router also. which one should i put the setting in?

Hello all... I seldom post here.

Today, she very joyous and happy when she talked to me on the phone. The next day, she became dull and nothing much to talk. She's like ha, ok, orite, ya, can, and etc" What is happening actually? To my knowledge, I didn't do anything wrong. Very happy now, and the next thing you know it's totally the opposite.
