I want to buy a laptop, and budget of 3k. I want following spec,...

Core i5 520M with 2.40Ghz with turbo boostup
4 Gb DDR3 1066 Mhz
ATI Radeon HD 5470 with 1 GB DDR3

and 15.6" LCD

I found Acer 5740G and Asus A52JR

Please suggest me with one of about is the best buy? I heard lots of heating problems in Acer,..is it true?

Which one is the best between these two? Or any other brand you can suggest me?

Can not open Yahoo from Streamyx

Hi all,

I am not able to open my Yahoo mail since few days. When I login, there is no error message, just process keep on running but never ends. I tried various systems, browsers and places. Then I also have tried reseting password few times. Even though I can login in Yahoo messenger. Its working fine just like all other Yahoo pages. Only Yahoo mail (mail.yahoo.com) url does not show me my emails.

Then I asked my friend in other country to open my account and try to access. There she is able to open. So Is its Some thing wrong in streaymx side?

Pls guide me what to do?

Connecting two routers using Ethernet Link

Hi,

I have Cisco 2601 and Cisco 2801 Routers. I don't have any serial port in Cisco 2801 Router. I want to connect these two routers using Fastethernet Port.

I have configured both Routers for ip addresses in using Console Port.

But After giving IP address, still "Line Protocol Fast Ethernet 0/0 is down" is displayed.

Please help

Vista Boot problem in dual boot

hi all,

My Pc already was working with VISTA Ultimate 32-bit edition. but after Installing Windows XP, Vista can not boot. it shows,
FILE:\Windows\system32\winload.exe

Status:0xc000000f
The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

I tried Microsoft Vista forums, and also tried following steps,

I tried booting with Windows Vista DVD, and starting Windows RE, ->recovery options -> Startup recovery
(I cannot do System restore, as I dont have any restore point created)
Then according to Microsoft forum, I also tried following commands in Command prompt(WinRE),
>bcdedit.exe /export c:\boot\bcd_backup
>c:
>cd boot
>ren bcd bcd.old
>bootrec /rebuildbcd

restart.

Still can not work,

Also tried making C: active partition using diskpart. still same problem.

What should be done to recover Vista?

Can not Extend volume

Hi all,

I have dual boot with Windows XP and Windows VISTA. MS VISTA as a primary OS(As a active Partition). My Vista partition size is too low. So for incresing a disk space I shrik the other volume. But when I attempt to extend Vista volume, I don't have extend volume option enabled. I have attached the snap shot. Pls help me. How can I extend the VISTA volume with out third party utitity ?

Hi all,

Can anyone Suggest me best web browser for low configuration machines? As I have following configuration of my PC,

AMD Sempron 2400+ with 1.66 Ghz CPU
480 MB RAM
40 GB hard disk
No extra graphic card
OS: Windows XP sp3

I have tried Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome & Opera 10. I have given below the snapshot of my machine...showing very have memory usage in Google chrome. Which of the web browser is good for me with the above system config? Should I use any older version of any browser? But they are now no more available !

hi all,

I have FujiXerox C2100 printer. I have installed printer in more then one computer,...I have downloaded Network driver too. I have configured printer in all pc. When I send print to printer, I can see the print job coming to printer. But is says "Login error (016-757:This feature is unavailable)" . And freezes.

Pls tell me the solution

hi all,

I have Compaq Presario 1800 Notebook PC. I have installed Microsoft XP sp2 with Graphics card driver. But still I can not see my laptop with full screen. My screen resolution is 1024x768 pixels. I downloaded latest driver from HP compaq website. But still it shows me maximum of 1024x768 resolution. I thought it is problem of resolution, I would have to set wide screen resolution like 1600x1200 pixels. is it? Pls guide me what do to set see full screen in my lapy?

I have attached image for your convince. Right hand side portion is black !! pls help

hi all,

I found virus in my xp lapi, So i cleaned up using antivirus. after that I deleted some entries from regedit for the same virus infected files. (mostly it was in c:/windows/system32). But after this I can not use my XP. When ever I give username and password, it once again get back to Login screen.

I tried safe mode too.. same prob.

Hi all,

I have HP DX2355 MT business PC. I don't have driver CDs of the same. I have installed Windows Server 2003 in this machine. But I can not find LAN card, sound card and Display card driver for the same. Is there any software available to Find and install driver for the Unknown devices from Internet?

Or any software which detects exact hardware model, chipset or so on?

Like Example, in my HP DX2355 MT business PC Lan card is Nvidia nForce Ethernet controller. but on Nvidia site, there are so many nForce Ethernet driver. What to do?

Hi all,

I Can not find Telnet option under Xinetd in my Fedora 11 Box. I want to enable telnet to access my system in Lan. I have checked RPMs also. telnet rpm is installed. I tried finding out xinetd rpm. But there is no such rpm in repository. Also when I tried to restart the service, I get unrecognized service error.

I have encountered a serious error in Installation of Office 2007. I already have Office 2003. But when ever I try to upgrade or install (fresh) copy, I get the following error. Also my MS WORD is having automatically set a backgroud colour , which I not about to clear. Both images are attached,..

Hi,

I need your help in MS Excel.

I have one Excel work sheet and in that I have only one column. In one column I have all my data, which I have taken input by OCR - Scan from some documents. I want to fetch all records with "Tel","email" & "mr" keyword in separate worksheet.

Can you send me Script or program to perform this. Also usage of the same step by step.
