Give expired driving license at guard house

Hi,
I'm just wondering, if I goto e.g friend house
and I register at the guard house,

i) I give them my expired driving license , which has super old, invalid address. (I dont stay there anymore)
Some places, they will ask to leave driving license permanently. As so long I am not forced to leave my IC.

ii) All my 4 car Windows is tinted in black (visibility is according to JPJ spec) , but add another layer of removable black tint. Front and back all 4 windows and except rear window. So confirm cannot see anyone inside. This is on purpose. Not for crime reasons. For privacy.

iii) When driving in to visitor lane, I make sure CCTV camera not pointing at my face, but CCTV pointing at the black window. When i want to give them my driving license, I open partially my door, not wind down my window and pass them my expired driving license. To avoid CCTV pointing at my face.

But at some places the CCTV is pointing at my car number plate. The car number plate is not fake lah.

iv) some places as me for hand-phone number, I just randomly give a false phone number. Again I dun understand why they need my handphone number.

My question is :
They still can able to trace me right, from my photo of my driving license and IC number (on license), and real car number plate
if really I commited a crime and they want to lodge a report to police .

But what I notice (even on my own home security guard), they only write name and address. Maybe some will take down IC number.

The reason I am doing all the above, is because I am not keen on letting the Myanmar/Bangla/whoever security guard know my details too much. I just want them to register me, and let me in. Thats all.
They are not law enforcement officers. So why give so much info out.

Hello,
Currently I am running my own on-site computer repair services; I goto my customer's house/company (mostly individuals/house) to repair the computer on-site
However my business growth is still at infant stage and I want to grow it bigger/wider this year.

Currently my method of advertising is through leaflet distribution and through "word-of-mouth" from existing customers.

Any other advice that can grow my business?

My vision is to one day have my own company name, starting from Enterprising, so that I can service corporate clients with more confidence (In other words,I want to tap into IT support for corporate companies, cause now I am just a freelancer, not a company yet)

I really look up at those which start their own business even with poor qualifications; last time I used to work for a company, and the director himself told me that he was just a "Form 3" graduate.
Not forgetting those famous names like Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong.

Petrol stations running out of RON 92 fuel

Anyone experienced this? The counter lady tells you that "Minyak lama habis" (RON 92 no more)?

I experienced this at BHP in SS14, Subang Jaya 2 weeks ago. So I was forced to fuel up with 97RON instead, but just RM 10 of petrol.

Then just now I passed by the BHP in SS14, guess what..they put their barriers...that nobody can even pump petrol (no pictures, I didn't take them)

Today as I goto Esso in USJ 1, Subang Permai (behind Giant ,MYDIN and Courts), also when I asked "Minyak lama ada?"..and the counter man said "Takda, esok baru ada"..but I decided not to fuel up there..

And went to Caltex in USJ 16. There still have ROn 92

Hi,

Need your advice.

I have a PC with MSI PM8PM-V (Socket 775) motherboard.

Problem is: When I press the power button..the fan (processor fan, casing fan) moves just a second and it just goes off.

However if I Unplug the ATX 12V power supply (for the processor) , the motherboard starts up (but with no display and no beeps at all)

So I have checked the following

1) Power Supply - Working (Works on other P4 machines also)
2) Motherboard - Question (Could it be still working, cause I can power up the motherboard when the p4 power supply connector is removed)
3) Prcoessor - Question (Is it short-circuited?)

I just want to confirm whether could this be a processor failure (short circuit) instead?

What used car I can get for under RM 10K?

Hi LYN-nians,

Need your feedback and suggestions. What 2nd hand car I can get for under RM 10K (i.e RM 7K).Right now I am driving a Nissan Sunny but I am thinking of letting go of her after years of serving me.

Criteria for mine is:

i) Car should be more powerful than my current ride. (I.e Kancil L2 Turbo)
ii) Its comfortable for me ..and my family, therefore it should be either same size or bigger than my current ride.
iii) Realiable car that doesn't break down often, even though its an old car.

I kinda like Conti cars such as Volvos, Citroens, but as far as I know, Volvo spares dont come cheap, but are bullet proof cars.
If you ask me about Protons..I would really think twice. No offense to loyale Proton owners out there.

Any good suggestions? Thanks for your feedback.

P.s - I will personally sell the car to those whom I know only.

Gas Powered Bicycle & Electric Motorcycles

When I and my family hop over to visit Pulau Ketam, I was surprised to see a few modes of transport which never seen on our mainland
Namely:

i) Gas-Powered Bicycle, Be It Gasoline Powered (Powered by a small, grass-cutter engine) or Electrically Powered.

The ones that I've seen it running around Pulau Ketam, is directly mounted onto rear wheels, and you can still opt to cycle. If only they installed gears,like a regular mountain bike, then it'll be cool, a engine with simple "CVT-like" gearings.

I wonder how is the Fuel Consumption like!
Price? I think around close to RM 2,000 since I see most advertised,gasoline bikes in US (and Ebays) are from US$400-500. No roadtax required and excellent fuel consumption!

ii) Motorized Motorbike, powered by Electric motors, it's very quiet (No sound at all) and smooth. I saw the brand name, and it sounds like a "Made-in-China" bikes. Not those NAZA or local bikes.

I wonder where these villagers get these bikes. I read once that a company tried to sell Motorbikes powered by Electric Motors, but sadly the motorbike is banned by our Ministry of Transport. Though I agree with them that it is slower than a regular 100CC motorbike, but its much more economical and enviromental friendly.

The next time you goto a shopping mall/hypermarket.

You may noticed that there is 1-2 cars/family which are willing to stop at one corner of the road and wait in their cars. No signal, nothing. Just waiting,with the engine running (and yes...carbon monoxide exposure, happy breathing them ). God only knows how long they are inside their cars...

While others go round and round and round...to find someone who wants to leave the shopping mall.

Which one is more effective...
Or ....which one is a smarter move (leaving the other option, obviously a dumber move)

You do the math

For me,if I were to walk back to my car, I would try to confuse the stalker, who is following me. I.e ...He thinks my car is on this lane..so I continue to walk on the same lane...thinking that 'my' car is nearby....until...I walk into another lane..

i) At the red light, still dont want to stop, but cross the junction OR...see no incoming car..continue riding (from behind), as though red light still means green light.
ii) Overtake cars on the left hand side. Our cars is all right hand drive cars, sir.
iii) Squeeze in between cars, weaving left and right. If Someone blocks you, you are not happy (hence...the puny honking comes out)

iv) overtake on double lane, no lights/signal, stop infront of cars at traffic lights n yet move slowly when lights r green thus blocking car drivers (fuzagi)
v) Love riding their puny motorcycles at 80-100 KM/h on the fast lane on Federal Highway , even if you honk them, they dont give a damn about you. (pcdoctor_my)

Cars (and motorcylist also)
I) Change lanes, refuse to put your left/right turn signal.
ii) Wanting to turn into a junction, but never put a left/right turn signal, assuming others will be able to read your mind.
iii) Stop in the yellow box or stop in the middle of the junction (during a traffic jam)

iv) drive slowly on right n middle lane, jump queue (fuzagi)
v) When roundabout dont put light signal ! This happen alot near the Makro roundabout near Taman Midah >.< ! (daniel89)

PC refuses to POST for first few initial tries

Hi,

- Socket A/462 Motherboard
- AMD Athlon XP 2200+ processor
- 256MB SDRAM and integrated graphics chip (No AGP slot)
- 40GB Seagate Hard drive.

Symptom:

Every morning/start of a new day, it is very difficult to boot up the machine. Can't even get the POST screen, nothing. The Power LED and HDD LED would freeze there also.

After a few turn on and offs of the power, then it will BEEP to life, and it practically runs well after that. Even after turning off and turning it back on later in the day, it boots up without a hiccup.

Previously it was even more difficult to start up; after turning off the PC and coming back to it several hours later, then it is difficult to crank it up.

Changed the CMOS battery and now improves the situation slightly; Now it is only difficult to crank it up in the morning.

What could be the problem?
A semi-faulty Motherboard Chipset or a faulty RAM?

Limited Slip Differential oil in FWD manual tranny

Hi Guys,
I am driving a stock standard, un-mod FWD car, manual transmission.
Been using monograde SAE 140 for like 3 years but now I am feeling it's due time to change the oil.

Was curious whether this specially formulated LSD oil can be used in FWD manual box without any LSD gears?

Anyone also using 75W-80 for everday bumper-to-bumper traffic?

Could you guys recommend me an oil, which can be used for "sometimes" racing application to even short-distance drives?

Beware of fake ambulance sirens

If you happen to travel Jalan Tun Razak every morning,
You can spot real ambulance sirens meaning real emergency (life threatening cases)..from the way they really drive like Satans on the wheel

and ambulances which on the siren, for the sake of beating the traffic jams only. (and they drive slowly or leisurely)

1) Once I was few cars away this ambulance, he did not turn on the siren.

As soon as he sees the usual morning 2-lane crawl at Jalan Tun Razak heading towards PWTC (and also able to head to Jln Ipoh), he turns on his siren.

I was right behind him! And of course people give way la to "ambulance".

2) Happen to me at Bandar Utama, before approaching Centrepoint.

I was on my right lane...and I know that the ambulance is behind 2 cars away, at left lane.

Then as I corner (the corner facing Centrepoint Bandar Utama, after the traffic lights), I am still at my right lane, but he cornered until eating into my lane,and NO SIgnal light so of course I blared my horn, cause he could had knocked my side, if I dont warn him

After that, that malay driver in the ambulance overtook me...then slowed down purposedly..wind down the window, and stared at me, as though he is swearing at me..then use the 1st lane again and turned down to the main road underneath the Tropicana bridge.

I really want to point out that the previous radio advertistment about "Giving way to an ambulance" is utterly a waste of air time; we all know how to give way to an ambulance, but the drivers themselves have bad ethics on the road.

Now I noticed some of you replied and making statements as though I am 'not giving way' to an ambulance on purpose. Let's clear the air:

"I do" (make way to an ambulance) , whether it's fake or not.

Running the fog lamps st night, all the time

Nowdays newer cars have fog lamps. And fog lamps have relays in their electrical circuit.

But today the wiring man which install the fog lamps for me, did put a relay but the wiring looks "thin"
I also supplied him a 15AMP 240V switch for safety reasons.

I am also concern about the side lamps/cornering lamps which runs off a 21W bulb but a thin wire.

Is it okay to run the fog lamps all the time? WIll it overheat the wiring and/or the bulbs?

Just concern.

A Civic hit into a MYVI and yet he didn't stop

Today, I saw a Silver Civic, which was on the 2nd lane of a red light and 2nd car behind the traffic light, and he already put his right turn signal.His car angle was already facing towards the 3rd lane.
The Greenish Apple MYVI, was the first car, on the 3rd lane, at the traffic lights.

As the lights turn green, the Civic turned into the MYVI's direction,U-TURN and..SCRRRUUB... the MYVI's front, left side bumper, with his rear-right bumper.(I can even see the Civic's car pushing the MYVI slightly)
For a moment, I saw a few deep scratches on the new MYVI,and some red lines on it too.

The Honda CIvic,which U-turned, just continue to sped off.Hit and Run
Oddly, the MYVI just did not move an inch after that (or even chase the buggar) and I could see the MYVI (at my rear mirror) still not moving at all at the "green light" .Nobody honk at the MYVI despite the MYVI has the green light to GO.

What the heck is going on?? Why didn't the MYVI give chase to that oxymoron or that Civic didn't had the courteous to pull over.

SR20VE Blue Top. Whats the difference between Blue and Black Top?

SR20DE in maroon red. Nice color too.

I am not sure if those el-cheapo RM 6 spray paints would give a good look.

Currently I am DIY myself; printing the ad, sending it to a photocopy shop, and then I distribute myself. Of course the coverage is not that great , but still works, with little effect.

MSN Messenger does not show latest pic to others

It just happened recently,

If I change my picture,
My friends are saying that they are still seeing my old photo despite I've already changed it.

And true enough, I've tried it with another of my "testing" MSN account, running on E-messenger, and my actual one running on Windows Live Messenger

I've tried disabling the "Internet Proxy",thinking that the proxy server caches my old photos, but it doesnt solve the problem (enabled to surf faster during the Taiwan earthquake incident)

But however my "Personal Messages" does change on-the-fly. No other problems; can message others smoothly.

I am not sure if my router is blocking it, but in the past it has been running well.
Now it's still stuck showing my same old photo

Anyone has this problem too?

Where and Which: To get Automotive Paint

I was quoted RM 200+ from beater panel workshops, just to spray the bumper alone (and another one quoted me RM 380 for spraying 2K paint and fixing of bumper, which I not willing to pay so high for just spraying the bumper)

So I want to know where can I get automotive paint and spray it for myself,

and what else do I need to prepare for spraying bumper? I think I also need rough sand paper to remove the old paint first.

Need suggestions and feedback, thanks so much!
