Upgrade Recommendation from Philips HP890

Hi Guys/Gals,

Would like to get an opinion from the gurus here about upgrading from my Philips HP890 which has recently broke (lasted me a good 6 years).
Currently looking at another similar headphone, possibly paired with a good amp (not a must). Would be great if I could get some recommendations for 1) budget RM200 and 2) budget RM500

Music genre mostly listened to: Bossa Nova, Light and Easy, Classical, Rock, Anime Jpop/Jrock, Game Music

Thank you for your time and it's much appreciated.

Careful of iRenovate (iRenovate.com.my)

Just wanna let other's know to be wary of iRenovate

Went to iRenovate at the pretense that it seemed like a reputable and professional company with an 'impressive' website. After sitting through their presentations and looking at their credentials, I did ask them for a site visit and such and they mentioned that the have a 'refundable deposit' design fee* (which is only refundable if you take them up as renovators BUT isn't stated otherwise that it's NOT refundable - I'll explain more below). Being a cautious consumer, I have asked and re-confirmed (my wife too on separate occasions) with them that the fee was 'refundable' and they assured me it was (probably on the pretext that they were confident that I'll choose them as renovators). Then the nightmare starts. They sent someone to my unit (condo) and took measurements and our suggestions. Their first quotation was close to my budget BUT the associated wetworks was all wrong and not according to the suggestions we had in mind. So once that was adjusted to the actual plan, the budget increased by another 50%. So, ok, maybe there was a communication breakdown internally. So the 2nd time they went to my unit, they said that the designer will go personally and take the final measurements for the drawing. Fine. Met up with the designer, did the measurements, took photos. So THREE weeks later, only did they come back to me with drawings and plans for my unit BUT without elevation drawings. Just 'concept'. I wasn't amused. I've been to Signature, Aldo, Rowenta for just kitchen drawings including elevation and 3D and they can do so within an hour (Rowenta was hand-drawn) to a week (Signature). So I was looking at the 'concept' drawings by the designer, but guess what. The concept was 'drawn' by another designer who hasn't even stepped foot into my condo. I asked the lady what happened to the previous designer who did the site visit, she just answered that she's the designer and that she has got all the info she needed from the photos. Another flabbergasting moment. So, she goes on to show me the concept drawing which is basically a few sheets of my condo layout with 1) electrical/fan/light layout 2) wetworks required (2 walls to be removed) 3) concept (basically images STOLEN from other ID sites or Magazines to represent the ID that's gonna be done to the respective areas). How do I know the images weren't theirs? Well for starters, some of them have watermarks while others still have 'Text' still on the images. And it took them THREE weeks to come out with crap like that. So after this sort of unprofessional behaviour and treatment, I decided to get back my 'refundable deposit' and to my horror, they claim that it's only refundable if they are chosen as the renovators. A lot of back and forth with their management and them still not budging from their high chairs, I've already taken it to NCCC (National Consumer Complaints Centre) and hopefully will be hearing from them soon.

*iRenovate's Refundable Deposit 'Scam'
*Their quotation and invoice CLEARLY states 'Refundable Deposit' at the top
*Under their Terms and Conditions - Fees are refundable if we are chosen for the renovation works
- This is the clause that will probably catch a lot of people unawares. When asked about this during their presentation, they mentioned that the design fees will be 'waived' and not included into the quotation if they are chosen as the renovators BUT no where does it say or do they even mention that the design fees are NOT refundable if they are not chosen. Thus, common sense will suggest why would they call it a 'Refundable Deposit' when it clearly isn't but more of a 'Design Fee'.

So hopefully nobody else out there gets burned like me. The time wasted is what frustrates me the most about dealing with iRenovate and their fraudulent policies. And their tagline of 'Cheaper, Better, Faster' is really a load of bull, especially in my case.

Also another thread in Kopitiam about them ID & Renovation

Update: Just received a letter (cc-ed to me) from NCCC to the Manager @ iRenovate detailing my plight and that iRenovate's quotation is misleading with a line in the description clearly stating - To Provide Professional Refundable Services. Therefore the situation is in the consumers' favour and thus iRenovate would have to refund to me or else face stern action via the Consumers Protection Act under Section 10 and Section 25

Error Loading OS

Hi guys,

I'm kinda in a bind right now, need some feedback. Here's the problem:
* I was using a Jetway mobo and just recently changed to a DFI LP Expert.
* Simple transfer of hardware/plug and play
* Start the computer up and POST is fine. When it gets to the 'supposed' Windows load screen, the error msg 'Error Loading OS' appears

Solutions tried (& failed): (some from googling)
* Change HDD access from Auto to Large/LBA/CHS
* Boot into DOS and use fdisk /mbr
* Reset CMOS
* Remove ALL hardware except Graphics card and HDD
* Replace IDE cables with bundled ones

Only thing remains is to boot into CD and re-install Windows.
Besides the last resort above (which I detest), can someone out there kindly provide me with a solution that I have not yet attempted?

Thanks
