iPhone battery draining recently

Does any iPhone users here feel or realize that the past few days, the iPhone battery doesn't seem to last as long as it did (compared to last week)? My iPhone use to be able to last for at least a day, normally will only hit 20% at about 10pm before I go to bed. The past few days, it would hit 20% before even 3pm.

I checked with several other iPhone users and they seem to also say the same thing. I'm trying to gauge from the other iPhone users out there. My guess would be Maxis could have tweaked some settings in the 3G or something else that could have cause this unusual drainage.

FYI, I'm using 3GS, but my friend who's using the 4 is experiencing the same thing.
