Do I need to pay for canceling order?

Dear experts,

This is the deal that I had with the Sale Agent(SA) whereby I would trade in my car.I do not need to pay any amount to do the booking.Just signed the USO which states the cost of the car price.

I contacted(SMS) the SA saying I wanna cancel the car as it is same in size with my current car and my family is totaly against the idea of this car.
He replied saying I need to pay RM500 for the arrangement they made with 2nd car dealer.I told him I was not informed of this amount and that my fren and my bro in law who were there are the time also confirmed they do not heard the SA informing us abt the RM500.

Now the SA says that since I signed the USO and now wan to cancel the order I need to pay RM500 and he had a witness who can proof that the SA informed me abt the RM500.

The question now is......do I really need to pay RM500?How if I refuse since I was not informed abt this earlier?
I know that if I was to pay deposit,it will be forfieted. But in this case,I did not pay a single cent.

Thanks

[addedon]August 24, 2009, 4:21 pm[/addedon]am I in the correct forum?

Wira 1.5 manual making sound when brake.Need Help!

Hi guys,

My fren is using Wira 1.5 manual year 1994.There is this annoying problem which cannot be solved.....when brake slowly to stop the car, there is a sound "krak krak"just a couple of second before the car comes to a stop. This sounds comes from the front right hand side of the car.

He noticed that this sound started to come up after he changed the front wheel bearing......He took the car to the mechanic who changed the wheel bearing(1 year) as there were sound during driving.

He took the car back to the mechanic and the mechanic diagnose the following(in sequence):
-Change disc(2nd hand) and brake pad(both the front wheels)...sound came back again after 1 week
-Cut the disc as the mechanic claim the disc is "bengkok"....sound came back again after 1 week

I recommended to the mechanic that I go to and the mechanics initial diagnose was(in sequence):
-Disc "benkok" and not original parts.....So changed to new disc and changed brake pads....sound came back again after 1 week
-Claim new brake pad after 1 week......but sound still remains after couple of hours driving

Yesterday,he checked the drive shaft and showed that wrong drive shaft was fixed. He had a very tough time wacking the drive shaft out. Finally,it came out and he says this should resolve the problem. However, after test driving the car for abt 1hour today,he claims the sound is still there. So he took a look(jack the car up) at the gear box and found that the sound is originating from the gear box.

FYI,drive shaft was changed even before the wheel bearing was changed.

So he is kind of confused as what the actual root cause. As the cost of diagnosing this is taking up a huge hole in his pocket. Can any expert here offer some opinion?

Hope to get help from you guys.Thanks.
