No sound coming out

Hi all

i have multiple device connected to my avr (minix, ps4, hypptv, blueray). i always play music on spotify / joox from my android box (minix) connected to my AVR (onkyo). i encounter the following problem whenever i play song from spotify/joox:-
1. no sound coming out. the song is still playing but no sound coming out from my system.
2. this only happen after a while. e.g: i open my spotify/joox. select a song from play list then play. usually it will play the song i play then followed by the next song and so on. after few songs, then no sound coming out. but the tv still shows the song is running just that no sound coming out.
3. this only happen when i play song from spotify / joox. i watch movies ok. play ps4 ok. watch blueray ok.

what is the problem?
hdmi input? - i try changes all my device in different hdmi already. same outcome
hdmi cable? - tried different cable already. same outcome
software problem? - uninstall and reinstall both spotify and joox. same outcome
avr problem?

any sifu can advise? appreciate a lot.

Car Porch Extension - Pergola

im considering extending my carporch from existing until my gate area.
currently in my mind is:-

1. timber - pergola design - nice but expensive
2. steel - not doing stainless steel awning type. stainless steel is expensive. but steel structure type can be design to those similar to timber pergola type too.
3. concrete - nice similar to existing house but will be expensive and many works to be done.

my options is more towards timber pergola type. i have read some where here that one forumer do his own timber pergola which is nice i think.

i have done some sketch. if i were to do my own. but i am not sure if those sizing are suitable or not to carry out the loads. not sure if the spans and sizes is correct or not.

here is the sketches. hope some expert or engineers point of view can give some advise

im noob in networking stuff. have some question in mind that i need advise.

my modem/router (streamyx) is connected at living room. i have made a net work point from living to my master bedroom during renovation thinking that 1 point is sufficient for my laptop connected to living room router (using LAN) dont want wireless connection as the signal is weak.

problem i face now:-

i installed cctv. they installed the DVR in my master bedroom. this cctv system need one LAN connection into my router for mobile apps application (online). since i have already standby this network point, i let the cctv guy use it and its connected to my living room router.

now i want to use my laptop in my master bedroom but i can only use the weak wifi signal. the initial network point is already occupied by the cctv. since my router have 4 port, 1 cctv, 1 media player, 1 hypptv, 1 spare (for my laptop), can i use splitter in my master bed room point and living room point>?

laptop + cctv -> splitter (2 to 1) -> conceal network cable from master to living -> splitter (1 to 2) -> laptop to 1 port and cctv to 1 port in my router. can this be done? or i need another separate network cable again?

Help: How to remove white grout haze?

need advise from all the experts here

developer hand over the house but there is a lot of white grout stain on the tile surface, floor tiles, wall tiles, etc.

if i use chemical or acid to clean, all the white grout line will be gone if im not mistaken. i try to use normal detergent and cleaner and the grout haze cannot be remove from the tile surface. for info, the tile surface is rough type which makes it difficult to scrub off.

any tips / help / advise to do the cleaning?

1. 7th gen accord cm6 (3.0v6) 2003
2. 8th gen accord cp1 (2.0) 2008

which will u guys choose?
1. 7th gen cm6 is the highest spec powerful 3.0v6 but its a 9-10years old car.
2. 8th gen cp1 is the basic spec 2.0 but its a newer car 4-5years old car

my old house roofing is damage. this is the old previous extension of kitchen.
area is around 30ft x 12ft. i got quote from contractor is:-
1. removal of all the roofing ; purlins, timber, spandex sheet, plaster board
2. install new complete with material, spandex roofing sheet, GI purlins, plaster board w/ painting

contractor quote around 3.5k for all this. is it reasonable market rate? how much is spandex sheet now in market for roofing.

Hi all

Attached are my new house layout. I have no idea how many lighting should i put. Kindly comment for all experience forumer.

Green small box indicates white color downlight
The dotted blue line is warm color cover lighting (T5)
The yellow box are pendant/hanging lighting

Question is will i have sufficient lighting/lumens for each location? I want to have to options: 1) enough visible lighting when required. 2) warm lighting for different mood/atmosphere

hi all iphone 4 users...

my phone is running 4.2.1 and its a 16gb version...memory recently is full so i delete some videos from camera roll...i delete from pc accessing into the memory after i copy out...after i delete those videos the camera roll seems like corrupted...from pc it shows 800 pics but when i open from iphone camera roll it shows 600...its like 200 pics gone...

i manage to copy it out but was wondering how can i insert back into camera roll?

is it better to drag loan to the longest duration and pay small amount of $$ monthly? or pay short duration with higher monthly $$ installment? it is for investment purpose.

reason asking:-

1. some people encourage buying property at young age so that can enjoy longer loan duration with low monthly installment
2. some people encourage to shorten duration as shortest as possible to save up interest.

HDD problem

can any sifu here help me? i've got 2 HDD in my rig now. 1 is WD 160Gb and another one is seagate 160GB. i run my window with the WD and storage (2partition) for Seagate. now seems like there is problem with my seagate. both 2 partition cannot be seen in "my computer" it only list out the WD partition.

OMG! what happen? izit corrupted? i tried restart my pc and then i can see the seagate partition. when i try to open files from it then it will "hang". the pc freeze for few seconds. after that when comes back to normal both the partition will gone.

another thing i realise when im trying to trouble shoot is it seems to be an icon pop-out at the bottom right screen where the place that shows the clock. the icon is something like the icon that we click when we wanna move our pendrive. i click the icon and it shows safe removal of my seagate hdd. whats wrong? when i ignore it and continue access my hdd. i can click inside. but i can open the files inside.

please dont tell me my hdd is corrupted. i bought this segate end of 2005. if its corrupted i will lose a lot of DATAS!!!!!!

im using cheapo audigy ls soundcard..using altec lansing 321 speakers...
now i wanna change setup which i plan to connect the pc audio to my old sansui amp...i wanted to have a better sound system for my pc...can anyone guide me how to do it?
