Pre-Registered Cars

Hey all, need some feedback based on your knowledge...

The concept of Pre-registered cars have been around for a while now... BMW distinguishes Pre-registered from Pre-Owned by the former having zero mileage while the latter has been used to a degree.

My question would be how does one tell the difference between a pre-registered car or not?

1) Buying stage... would the word "pre-registered" be written down on your Car Order Form when you sign with the Car Dealer?
2) Collection Stage... what would the Car Registration Form look like?
3) Any other tell-tale signs?

Just came back from sunny Maldives in the Indian Ocean and thought I'd share some shots of the place. Hope you guys like it.

As usualy some general information about the place :

The Maldives ( /ˈmɒldaɪvz/ (help·info) or /ˈmɒldiːvz/), (Dhivehi: ދިވެހިރާއްޖެ Dhivehi Raa’j) or Maldive Islands, officially the Republic of Maldives, is an island country consisting of a group of atolls stretching south of India's Lakshadweep islands between Minicoy Island and the Chagos Archipelago, and about seven hundred kilometres (435 mi) south-west of Sri Lanka in the Laccadive Sea of Indian Ocean. The twenty-six atolls of Maldives encompass a territory featuring 1,192 islets, of which two hundred islands are inhabited.

The original inhabitants were Buddhist, probably since Ashoka's period,[citation needed] in the 3rd century BC. Islam was introduced in 1153. The Maldives then came under the influence of the Portuguese (1558) and the Dutch (1654) seaborne empires. In 1887 it became a British protectorate. In 1965, the Maldives obtained independence from Britain (originally under the name "Maldive Islands"), and in 1968 the Sultanate was replaced by a Republic.

The Maldives is the smallest Asian country in terms of both population and area; it is the smallest predominantly Muslim nation in the world. I believe quite a number of you have experience shooting for magazines or have had your shots used for magazine articles... food shots, travel, decor, fashion... etc.

Just like to enquire on the market rates for a freelance photographer for the following criteria :

1) Pay per shot selected basis - How much per shot?

2) Freelance Photog on contract basis - How much per photoshoot?

Rates should be based on photographer with no experience / amateur / some experience... not experienced pros.

Huế (化 in chữ Nôm) is the capital city of Thừa Thiên - Huế province, Vietnam. Between 1802 and 1945, it was the imperial capital of the Nguyễn Dynasty. As such, it is well known for its monuments and architecture. Its population stands at about 340,000 people.

Huế is perhaps best known for its historic monuments, which have earned it a place in the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

Had the opportunity to visit Halong Bay yesterday and here's a little bit to share with everyone.

Firstly some general information on the place :

Ha Long Bay (Vietnamese: Vịnh Hạ Long) is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes.

"Ha Long" is literally translated as "Bay of Descending Dragons"

Ha Long Bay is in northeastern Vietnam, from E106°56' to E107°37' and from N20°43' to N21°09'. The bay stretches from Yên Hưng district, past Hạ Long city, Cẩm Phả town to Vân Đồn district, bordered on the south and southeast by the Gulf of Tonkin, on the north by China and on the west and southwest by Cát Bà island. The bay has a 120 kilometre long coastline and is approximately 1,553 square kilometres in size with 1969 islets. The area designated by UNESCO as the World Natural Heritage Site includes 434 km² with 775 islets, of which the core zone is delimited by 69 points: Đầu Gỗ island on the west, Ba Hầm lake on the south and Cống Tây island on the east. The protected area is from the Cái Dăm petrol store to Quang Hanh commune, Cẩm Phả town and the surrounding giants zone.

Hey guys... thinking of getting a better lens to replace my 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX kit lens.

Been doing a lot of reading and it seems that the 16-85 is a very sharp lens across the board. Thought of going that route, then possibly to a 70-200 later.

However, just wanted to hear your opinions or other options if available.

Camera : Nikon D40X
Budget : Approx. 2k - 2.5k
Types of Photos : Scenery/Landscape, architecture, Closeups, occasional macros and portraits
