hi guys, I have an old computer running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 (didn't write down the exact version...)

due to some incompatibility issues, I had to revert back to Service Pack 2, so I tried to do a "repair install" with the SP2 disc (boot from CD, press R..), the files were copied just fine in the blue screen DOS part, but after the reboot, which is supposed to be the GUI installation part, the computer reboots (endlessly) after the bar moves for several times, not even a short flash of BSOD! it just reboots!

if I try to repair again, it will say
