Hi All, i need to buy a new PC for design work+minor gaming (only COD and PES series), budget around RM2000 - RM2500 for the specs below only, so hopefully all experts can give some useful advises and recommendation, thanks in advanced

Processor : Intel i7 (or i5?) = RM?
RAM : 4GB at least (brand?) = RM?
Mobo : Need advises = RM?
GFX Card : nVidia, need advises for dual mon (dvi/hdmi, no VGA no problem) = RM?
HDD : 500GB/1TB = RM?
DVDRW : Need advises = RM?
Casing : Need advises = RM?
PSU : Need advises = RM?

Please help to fine tune the specs with budget, thanks

Lenovo Ideapad Y550P Freeze Problem

Hi Guys,

I owned a Lenovo Ideapad Y550P in Jan 2010, but recently some random freeze problem occur and getting more frequent. here is some of the symptoms... :

- black screen when boot up, but the harddisk still running.
- boot up success but freeze in Win7 logo screen, harddisk still running and can hear the window start music.
- so luckily can boot up and start win 7, but freeze happen again during browsing/working.
- sometime, looks like win7 started without graphic card driver as the setting is very basic and unable to push higher.

here is what i done :

- updated all the driver (bios/gfx card/sound)
- switched off bluetooth/wifi during boot up

seems like the problem still occur, anyone having the same experience? please advise.

Best RMVB Player for TV

i'm finding a decent RMVB player, i bought a rmvb player called NBox and plug on my old style TV (not LCD TV), it's play movie without color, i'm not sure why, and some stated format was unable to open too such as JPG, DIVX and RM, the player is hang, not respond or said the file is not supported.

so i need some advises on certain brands of player which is compatible to old (CRT TV) and new (LCD TV) type, which is worth to try, budget around RM250-300.

Hi All, i need advises on choosing a decent notebook with larger lcd, budget around RM3-4k.

i saw a Vaio (VGN-FW43G/B @ SonyStyle, 16.4", 3GB ram, 320GB HDD selling RM3599, it's looking good and solid.

is it worth to buy? or is there any brands with better or equivalent spec but around the same price range?

Hi all expert, i'm going to buy 2 LCD monitors (not bigger than 22") for my PC (running duo monitor), for design works use.

i need a more space on screen (widescreen more space) and resolution atleast 1680x1050, of course color must be nice lar... hehe... and budget around rm700, any recommendation?

Failed to start WinXP with 2nd SATA HDD connected

i facing a problem that failed to start WinXP when 2nd SATA HDD connected. this is the 2nd time happen and i really know what is the cause.

ASUS P4P Deluxe, P4 2.6, 2GB RAM
1 x 40GB Quantum Fireball ATA HDD (WinXP)
1 x 120GB WD SATA HDD (Storage)
1 x 320GB WD SATA HDD (Storage)

all the while i have no problem with the HDD for 2 yrs, 1st time happened i think is 10months ago, here is the symptom:

1. when i start the XP, it's staying at the XP logo loading screen for long time and never reach the desktop.
2. when i unplug the 320GB HDD, and reboot again, then it's logon to XP as normal.
3. logon using safe mode, sometime can detect the 320GB HDD, sometime cannot.
4. i plug back the 320 HDD after logon into XP desktop, then put into Standby mode, and restart again to detect the 320GB HDD, it's work. and can use as usual.

solutions :
i use Diskeeper Pro to do scandisk and Defragment on the 320GB HDD, and reboot again, everything is back to normal again, no more problem to logon into XP with all HDD attached.

this is the 2nd time, and i tried to use the same solution as last time, but this time it still cannot logon to XP if i connected to the 320GB HDD.

So i wonder anyone experienced the same problem like this before? any solutions?
