Compile / Publish Web Application

Hi all maters!

I've been on PHP and am new to ASP.NET, and now I'm stucked.

I followed some beginner's guide and came out with a simple data grid that allows update/insert/delete on database.

I could debug successfully and the problems come when I want to publish my web application online.

As opposed to PHP, I came to know that we have to compile ASP.NET codes before publishing it online, which will generate .dll and other files (correct me if I'm wrong). The thing is, how do I do this?

Hey guys, I am looking for either $6 / $7-million home..
Do you guys know what's the price for both in KLCC outlet?

I have a 12-inch laptop, will that fit into a $6-million home? Heard some managed to do so altho it's not advertised..
I see the diff between these are 9L vs 15L, but not sure how big diff it is in actual..
And, will two body, say 40D and 400D with batt. grip, both on lenses, fit in $6-million? (without laptop)

Canon EOS 350D vs 400D

Hi guys..

I had been into photography few years ago and now seriously considering to move forward into dSLR. Out of the brands and models out there, I had decided to go for either 350D or 400D.

What I fancy about 400D over 350D:
- 10MP
- Low pass filter with ultra-sonic vibration
- Nine area Auto Focus sensor
- Larger 2.5" LCD screen
- Camera settings made on main LCD

What I fancy about 350D over 400D:

- CHEAPER!! PRICE DOES MATTER!!
- No underexposure issue like 400D, with kit lense (how is this issue in m'sia and s'pore? is it only an issue for a certain batch? or it's a known general issue?)
- Dedicate status panel, which has no irritating white backlid like 400D's ..?
- CHEAPER and CHEAPPERRRR!!!

Please, your opinions are needed! thanks!!

Streaming mms audio from flash

Hi guys,

I have a streamed audio at mms://.............

When I put up the direct link, the users will be able to load it and stream it using windows media player, that's fine.

However, for security purpose (somehow), I dont want to allow the user to save it.

Hence, I'm thinking of streaming mms audio from flash.

I've tried many approaches but failed. Could you guys enlighten me up? Thanks!

Securely sharing .jar games on the web

Hi guys, I dont have much knowledge in java/javascript..

My question is: How can I allow a user to my site to play a .jar game but without allowing them to be able to download it and plug into their mobile phone?

By compiling it into class file, is it possible to share it securely? Or users are still able to download the class file easily and have it played on their pc?

I've actually downloaded some other games ( like Star Wars game, man.. I simply love the Lego Star Wars game ) and they are all cool..

How to handle Multiple-Select value

I have a multiple select box in my form, how can I handle the values that have been selected by the user?

For example:

field name = "multiselect"
selected values = "watermelon", "papaya", "apple"

It will be stored in $_POST['multiselect'] for a single value selection, but how about in multiple value selection case?

I'm currently dealing with exporting data from PHP & MySQL

Data could be exported pretty simple by printing or echo-ing the text..

My doubt now is, how can I export (or insert from web) images into excel file?

By simply inserting text "<img src='...'>" wouldnt work

The situation is, say:

I have a form, with 10 input text fields.. they are named randomly:

"name_1"
"name_21"
"name_300" ...

Question:

Is it possible to get element by likeliness? Something like name_* stuff..

Securely share self-composed MP3 preview online

Does any of you who knows how to protect a music preview safely?

For instance, I have a self-composed MP3 and would want to share with others, but at the same time, I'd like to protect my MP3 for not being downloaded by visitors and circulate around.

I've thought of producing it in flash, but it isnt practical if I have bunch of MP3 files, where I need to convert them one by one.

Is there any scripts to do such task? Thanks!

Need help for Ubuntu LAMP configuration

I am currently setting up LAMP in my Ubuntu (am new in Linux)..

I have done everything from setting up apache, configuring php, installing mysql up to having phpmyadmin in my server.

However, I could not add new database within phpmyadmin.. the same goes to terminal, when I logged into root of mysql (mysql -u root -p)

I am helpless now, been trying for hours

Your assistance is highly appreciated!~

Extra Details:

I receive the following error. I believe I have not logged into root of mysql, but how do I do that? It isnt the same thing as mysql -u root -p right?

Working in Singapore without Working Permit

Alrite, I have a doubt..

If I am able to work part-time in singapore (no PR nor working permit), so theoritically I need to come back to M'sia after 14 days and then only can go back S'pore right?

I heard people saying that we can stamp our passport (to extend our duration of staying) at Lavender without coming back to custom?

We need to put down our reasons for extend, so besides saying "on vacation" and "take care of relatives who are physically unfit", what else reasons could be given? Will we be questioned much on it when we try to extend our stay there after 14 days?

And lastly, I heard that after 2 months of staying in S'pore, we have to come back to M'sia for 1 month before going into S'pore again? Is that so?

Desperately need advises on working in S'pore without PR and working permit...
