Removing old tint

I would like to remove a 20 yr tint from the rear booth of a 24 yr old volvo station wagon.
The tint has faded and impairs visibility .
The tint shop boss says the heater wire will be damaged after removal.
I tried peeling it a small corner off but the glue stays on the glass.
Has anyone tried peeling off with hot air from hair driver ?
Youtube shows video of placing black rubbish bag in front and inside the glass to be baked in hot sunlight .
Anyone tried this technique ?
What type of glue remover solvent ? Will solvent lifted off the heater wire too ?

Contemplating getting a used prius. 2013, 2012 built.
I want to know about onwership experience, reliability, cost for repairs and the knowledge of the Toyota mechanics in hybrid cars.
Is the car's problem difficult to diagnosis and can it be repaired by non Toyota mechanic ?
What is the battery cost and how many yeras do l expect it to last?
What are the other parts that need replacement after 6 to 7 years

I am considering to buy this phone .
Concerned by one review which sates that the volume of the phone is very soft .
Can users confirm this ?
Is the voice on the phone clear with incoming and outgoing calls?
Is the antenna sensitive in hard to get signal areas indoors?
