Hi sifus,

Recently my Putra 1.8 having some issues..

[1] When idling, timing can suddenly drop to almost dead and then back up to 1k rpm, sometimes engine will die off also.
[2] Sometimes when cruising, suddenly I got no throttle response, RPM stuck at 1k but I am flooring the throttle..after 2-3 secs, the power will kick back in with a sudden jerk
[3] Occassionally can hear some misfiring

Here's what I've done so far..

[1] Change petrol filter
[2] Clean throttle body

It worked fine for two weeks after that but now the problem is back.. mech suggested might be throttle body issue or AFC but he can't be sure.. My friend said his Savvy had similar symptoms and what he did was change ignition coil?

Some ppl also suggested that my fuel pump may not be functioning normally (not enough pressure).

I'm considering a second opinion as my current mech unable to pin-point the problem..

Any sifus got any suggestions what may be the issue here? Thanks in advance!

Taskbar and Start Menu unresponsive after boot

Hi all,

I've been having this issue for months now. Each time I start/reboot my PC, my taskbar and start menu is totally unresponsive. I can't click on the start button or any of the icons in the system tray. Clicking on the desktop works fine.

The only workaround, is to bring up the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del and close it. No need to kill / end any processes. After that everything works as normal.

I've tried reformatting to XP/Vista/Win7 and still facing this problem. I ran a test with memtest86+ and prime95 but did not show any errors.

Any help would be appreciated!

computer freezes on boot

I have a very unusual problem here.. everytime i boot my pc and login to windows, my computer freezes. (nothing on the taskbar works etc.). But when I press CTRL+ALT+Del and open task manager, everything returns back to normal.

I also experience random freezing like this while surfing net etc, but press ctrl alt del again solves the prob.

I've tried winxp, vista, win7 and all the same. could it be some kind of hardware prob? pls advise!
