Hitachi XL/Life Studio ext. hdd

So, I was browsing most of the price list and for most 2TB 3.5" ext hdd price is around 390~410. Then I came across these Hitachi hdd on Jayacom ( http://www.jayacom.com.my/home/hardware/hardware.pdf )

They are like rm100 cheaper than wd/seagate ones. Are they any good or worth buying etc ? Or should I stick to more "reliable" hdd brand such as wd/seagate? I don't mind rm400 since I already plan to buy those from the start, just that if I can save rm100, then why not.

DVI-VGA converter

I just recently changed my old 8600gt into 5750 and with dvi-vga converter, my old 17" lcd (LG L1753S) doesn't work. Keep black screen with a pop-up like flying around saying check signal cable. When i test it with my sister's 23" lcd (dvi cable) it works on my new gpu. I tested my old 17" lcd(with converter too) on my sister's pc which has a radeon 3600 and it doesn't work too.

The type of converter I'm using(Dvi side) : [Doesn't work]

My sis's 23" lcd dvi cable which works :

Should I be using this converter instead :

QUOTE(adbacc @ May 25 2011, 09:33 PM)

There are 3 types of DVI
DVI-I (carry both digital +analog)
DVI-A (carry analog)
DVI-D (carry digital)

Most DVI is DVI-I, so you can use DVI-VGA connector (analog) or DVI-HDMI (digital) or DVI = Digital

Do check which DVI you have (compare the pins) (check wikipedia)

Or maybe the "DVI-I (carry both digital +analog)" works too (?)

What's your memory usage?

Hi every window 7 users, I upgraded my window to window 7 Pro 64 bit. there is something I would like to ask, after a fresh insitall of this window 7 Pro(havent install anything else yet), the memory usage was 800++mb <- is that normal? Then after I install all the other drivers and some software like Microsoft Office 2007, AntiVirus Software memory usage increased to 900MB-1GB, then I open up IE8 with only 6 tabs it goes to 1.5GB - 1.7GB . Is that normal?

I also tried 3DMark Vantage and got P12000+ while my last window vista Business 32 bit got 14k++
