Buying affordable Nippon Paint

Hi all, anyone can recommend a hardware shop which selling cheaper Nippon Paint in Johor bahru, Skudai, Senai, Kulai area?

I bought a Nippon Sealer Vinylex 5400 (18 liter) in Senai, they charge me RM175. I bought another same item in Taman Daya, and it is only Rm158. Last week i went to Bukit Mertajam (Penang), and it is only cost RM125. I asked a 2 shops in Kulai, both selling at Rm170.

Any better recommendation?

[WTA] Samsung U3 cannot charge

Hi All,

The Mp3 player was found low battery, but still can play song. So i quickly plug it into the PC USB port. The strange thing is it didn't charge at all. No lights, no "charging" message.

I had tried "reset" the player with holding 2 buttons together. But it still won't charge after all.

I had also tried it on different PC/laptop. Still won't charge.

Now the player is totally out of battery, only giving message of "low battery" after pressing any of the button.

Is anyone got an idea how to make it charge again?

Can 2.5" HDD used as normal HDD in Desktop

Hi all.

Has anyone use the 2.5" HDD in their desktop?

Since I found that the latest SATA 2.5" HDD also having the same interface with the 3.5" HDD. Can we directly plug in the 2.5" HDD to the motherboard using normal SATA cable and power supply?

High frequency Virbration from HDD

Hi all, anyone using this SG 7200.11 HDD?

Last week I just RMA another HDD from the shop. They gave me another "Certified Repaired" HDD for the same model.

However, today I just heard a loud vibration noise from my PC. Later I discover it is from this SG HDD. It also producing a high vibration.

Is this normal for SG product that producing high noise and high vibration?

Camcorder to choose

It looks like not much people discussing about camcorder here.

Currently I'm looking at these 2 camcorder. Initially there was Canon R16/R18, but they seems nor worth the money as they lack of OIS, which I found is quite important to a Camcorder.

Now I stuck between there 2 model, which both having OIS, and HD recording function.

Anyone have experience with these camcorder?

As per topic, which of these 2 are better? in term of sound quality?

I had been looking thru several IEM earphone, and found these 2 are quite matching my budget. So, would like to know which are more preferable from the expert (like you all).

NEC E6000 Sudden Death

Dear All,

Recently the NEC E6000 faced this weird problem. It will auto turn-off by itself, not proper shutdown by XP. It is off by it self. It is a fresh format HDD, so we exclude the VIRUS problem.

After second time we re-format the HDD, we found out the problem will happen after we installed the ATI Mobility Radeon 9100 IGP drivers. The auto-turn off will not occur in Safe Mode, nor we do not install the IGP driver.

We download the IGP driver from NEC-asia website. Other devices are fine now. Except the VGA controller.

Hope anyone can give some idea how to solve it.

[SOLVED]USB Keyboard not detected @ Welcome Screen

Hi all,

I'm trying to fix this computer with only USB port available at the back of the computer.

The USB keyboard & function well in BIOS, as well as Hiren Boot Disc environment. But, when ever I let it boot normally until Windows XP 's Welcom Screen, I'm unable to key-in anything, or use my mouse to click the "User" to log-on. This happen even in "Safe Mode". I'm stuck at the "Welcome" screen, which does not welcome me at all.

I had spent few hour looking for answer in Google but can't get it. Only thing I know is quite a number of people using Dell facing such problem. But they do not putting a clear procedures to fix it.

Any Idea?

Have any one here had encounter such message when I click on a Pdf hyperlink in my excel file?

"no program is registered to open this file"

The same excel file and pdf files are work perfectly in other computer running on WinXP with MS Excel 2000.

The problematic is the computer running Vista with Excel 2007.

Initially it is some other error message, which is regarding some sort of what administrative right to open the link. Then, I use "Set Program Default" to restore the windows setting, then I saw "no program is registered to open this file" when I click the hyperlink.

I did re-install the Adobe Reader 9.2, but still cannot help.

Anyone have any idea to make the excel run the hyperlink?

Laptop cannot startup

Just suddenly my laptop cannot startup. A beep sound follow by an error message:
"A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

Then, I manage to put my WindowsXP installation disk and try to format it. However, after I choose the C:\ to be installed, it gives me another message:
"
Windows XP Setup

An error occurred while Setup was updating partition information on"
38155 MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi [MBR].
Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3.

"

Sometimes when I enter the BIOS, it shows IDE Primary = ST94011A. Sometimes it shows none.

Is this mean the HDD got problem?

USB devices cannot recognise

It just happen today. Yesterday is still OK.

My USB hub, thumbdrive, and USB key for software cannot be recognised.

But Mouse and webcam still can use.

what is the problem and how to solve it?

I had tried remove all the USB drivers in devices manager ad let windows restart to get back the driver. But still cannot help.

Please help.

auto power off and on

this happen suddenly this evening when i format the windows. the computer suddetly keep turn off and on every few second. can't even log on to windows.

Might not caused by virus. i didn't online before this. i had also unplugged all accessories (hd and dvd-rom. ) i swap the ram slot, change other computer's Ram also cannot help.

what might cause the problem? and how to solve it.

Laptop cannot start up

Hi all. Highly appreciate your effort to save my laptop.

My laptop is NEC E680, Pentium M 1.5GHz, 256MB DDR RAM (Unbranded) +256MB DDR RAM (Kingston), 40GB HDD with combo drive.

One day it suddenly cannot start up. It just hang at the start up screen with NEC logo only. With the beep beep sound. Not yet run into WindowsXP startup.

There was sometimes i have to press DEL/Esc key when just switch on, (before the beep sound started). It was able to go into Windows and i had quickly check the "device manager" and Computer properties, but it shows no error at all. But now already totally cannot startup no matter what key i press.

Please advise any ways to save it?

TM StreamyX connection problem.

I'm having problem with my StreamyX broadband connection. The connection signal keep broken after a while. Sometimes manage to connect for whole night. But sometimes not even after 3 minutes, the connection will be broken. All i need to recover the connection is lift-up any phone and place it back. After a while the modem will re-dial and get connected. But after a while will be broken again. Can someone please help me solve this problem. It is very annoying.

I'm using StreamyX broadband service, with a D-Link Modem with 4 port router.
