A 19-year-old polytechnic student in Singapore has gone online to “sell” herself in a bid to raise money for her mother’s medical treatment.

Both Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported that to advertise her sexual services, the girl, known only as Christine, had uploaded three scantily-clad pictures of herself on her blog.

In the pictures, Christine was

half-naked, wearing only a lacy black G-string.

Since the pictures were uploaded on Aug 29, the blog had attracted 170 hits.

There was a separate link to more “racy pictures” on the blog where one had to pay to view the site.

In her blog, Christine wrote that she hoped to find a man in his 30s and that she was willing to provide him sexual services if he paid for her mother’s medical fees.

She claimed that her mother was terminally ill and in need of “a lot of money”.

She also promised that those interested in her offer would not be disappointed, adding that she was confident of her looks.

RON95 more environmental friendly

i find petronas advertisement misleading. it says RON95 makes engine good, can make a car drift, and "even better for the environment". what my understanding is the lower RON (octane), the lesser burning efficiency and emits more smoke/ash.

Why can't they just be honest to say "it's government policy to encourage RON95, RON95 is cheaper"....

he did not turn MAS on par or surpass SIA, Emirates.

he saved MAS, managed to turn the company profitable but that was more on selling assets, retrenched stewardess, and recently applying "special" accounting to make books look good.

basically, to quote:

IMO, he should continue to stay in MAS until he really proves himself and makes the airline "really" operational profitable instead of making money thru selling art, building, airplane and some "creative" accounting. maybe he should learn a bit trick handling airline from AirAsia.

today is real bad day.

I took leave, and got the idea wants to witness TBH inquest. But when I tried this morning to access internet this morning. streamyx is down! damn streamyx for ruining my plan and urgent moment.

I thought i can get details of the inquest like time it starts, the procedure to public witness so without internet I called the Star. I thought the inquest will be held at High court in Shah Alam or Plaza Masalam (cannot be here right) because the reports say Shah Alam but did not say specifically where. THe stupid newspaper says "apa tu inkues, tak tau tak tau". talk about highest english newspaper circulation in the country. Then I thought to visit DAP centres to get information (it was 930am that time) but they were closed, calling their numbers but nobody picks up the call.

I got fed up, so I ended calling Sinchew hotline to try my luck with newspapers agency, surprisingly they provide me better information (the Star shoud learn from them!). THe hotline speaks english, told me the inquest is started at 8am at High Court in Shah Alam but have to queue from 6am to get ticket to be able to enter the courtroom. But no info in the afternoon.

Dear /k/, did you people attend the inquest before? Damn, I should go this afternoon but streamyx still down in the afternoon until now, so i did go for inquest, but probably try one on Monday. Do I need to queue in 6am to get permit to enter the courtroom to witness the inquest? What if I late until 9am? How about the afternoon session? Hope you people got the answer

WASHINGTON, Aug 6 — After his talks with reclusive North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, Bill Clinton sure has a story to tell.

And one of the first in line to hear his tale is President Barack Obama.

“I suspect that President Clinton will have some interesting observations from his trip and I will let him provide those to me,” Obama told MSNBC yesterday.

The former president was chosen by the North Koreans from among four possible envoys proposed to them to try to gain freedom for two American reporters sentenced to 12 years of hard labour in North Korea.

Other candidates for the task were other prominent Democrats: New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Massachusetts Senator John Kerry and the man who served as Clinton’s vice president, Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore.

Thus, Clinton became the most senior American envoy to spend time face-to-face with Kim in nearly a decade.

Kim is ailing and is widely believed to have suffered a stroke in August 2008. There have been rumours about pancreatic cancer and uncertainty about who will succeed him.

North Korea-watchers in and out of the US government are eager to know how he looked, how he seemed and what he talked about.

Some analysts have speculated Clinton’s visit could open the way to direct talks with the communist state over its nuclear weapons programme.

“I think it’ll be very interesting,” said Republican Senator John McCain. “He’s the first Westerner to see Kim since his reported stroke and other problems. I think former President Clinton will have some interesting information.”

In the secret negotiations that led to the rescue mission, Clinton made clear to Obama administration officials he only wanted to go if he had some certainty that Americans Laura Ling, 32, and Euna Lee, 36, would be released to his custody.

“We considered the request carefully,” said a senior administration official. “We tested directly with the North Koreans repeatedly. We sought and received North Korea’s agreement in fact that a visit by President Clinton would secure the release of Ms. Ling and Ms. Lee.”

‘INCREDIBLE’

Clinton had a meeting with Kim for an hour and 15 minutes and a dinner with him that lasted about two hours. In Clinton’s entourage were his former White House chief of staff, John Podesta, and Clinton’s personal physician, Roger Band.

Asia expert Nick Szechenyi of the Center for Strategic and International Studies said the up-close look at Kim was probably one of the most fascinating aspects of Clinton’s visit.

“Instead of trying to analyse photographs, for example, and trying to determine the extent of any physical damage that might have been incurred as a result of a stroke, Bill Clinton was able to sit down for a couple of hours and engage this individual face to face,” he said.

“That’s incredible and in that sense it’s kind of a shock that the North Koreans allowed this,” he said.

A congressional aide who asked to remain unidentified said: “President Clinton is going to be able to offer a candid assessment of North Korea and the state of the Dear Leader’s health, who’s in charge, the leadership organisational chart. He’s going to be able to impart a great deal.”

Clinton’s mission gave Obama a foreign policy success at a time when he could use one, given that his job approval ratings have been drooping a bit.

It allowed Clinton to bask in the kind of American spotlight he has not enjoyed in some time. Politico called him an “international man of history” and the New York Post declared, “Bubba gets the chicks.”

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Obama wanted to get together with Clinton soon.

i'm watching majalah 3 now. it is about ilmu kebal practised by sliat which actually can withstand cuts from parang, stabs from tombak and even able to climb ladder with steps made of blades. according to the master, the technique derived from mind power, and inner energy, something like that. i wonder if such art can be taught in schools so that children and citizens can fight with snatch thieves armed with parang
