Problem frequency: all the time.
Problem description:

I have no problem with internet, it works flawlessly, but no tone sound in home phone line except hissing sound. Of course i cannot make any call through it.

splitter is used between modem, phone and outside telecom pole.

Any solution?

Passive CPU cooling

As per titile,

1) Is it possible to apply passive CPU cooling for my rig as shown in my signature? (plus 2 intake and 2 exhaust PWM 12cm arctic fans)?
2) Ive googled for possible product, but seems like SilverStone Heligon SST-HE02 is not sold anywhere here. Probably you guys know the seller?
3) If not then any alternative model beside Heligon?

hi guys, i just came back from pc store and ready to build a pc. but before that, i would like to ask y'all regarding the title.

I've made some research on settings need to look on to get best performance:

1. use SSD as operating system non-volatile memory.
2. ensure to plug SSD to SATA3 socket on MoBo.
1. utilize dual-channel RAM by using both slot recommended by MoBo user guide.
2. before installing win7, chnage SATA std to AHCI or RAID, don't put in IDE.
3. install intel rapid start technology.

Any other things to do?

Any GTX 670 with 3 yrs warranty?

H77 ATX MoBo

Seems like local sellers don't give lot variations for this particular chipset model. all models offer here only with mATX except Asrock with ATX size (H77 Pro4/MVP). I don't know how asrock will perform as i want my rig to be futureproof with long warranty. Do you know any other seller out there selling other model from other brand? Or i just use Z77 even im using nonOCable CPU?

[WTA] regarding AVR

My room only have one wall socket. My plan is to plug AVR on it and all my electrical equipments sourced from it.

The equipments are:

(1) gaming-based desktop using Gigabyte Powerock 500W PSU
(2) table fan + printers + monitor + reserve = +-200W.

Although my (future) internal rig components consume at max <300W, i wonder how the powerock works. does it consume 500W all the time or it depends on its output consumption which makes it consume 375W at max considering 80% efficiency.

Plus, i also wondering does powerock 500W rated on output or input, since after i read this:
Powerock testing report

it stated that 500W is actually on output, which makes it consume 625W considering 80% efficiency. This is contradicting on what i've read around here that stated 500W at its input.

if that the case, than i dont have more power room for other electrical equipment other than desktop since AVR 1000VA only provide +-600W considering 0.6 power factor.

help me please.
