Repairing Altec Lansing SubWoofer

I have a ALTEC LANSING ADA 885

Recently i had a problem with no power to the unit. I checked the fuse but it was still ok. Sent to several electricians. They said the transformer in the woofer is spoilt.

my question.

How can i get this repaired?

Where can i get a new transformer?

Any ALTEC LANSING authorized service centres and spare parts?

p/s Only the subwoofer is not functioning

if i cant fix the subwoofer, i might have to start looking for used similar subwoofer for ADA 885

Any help or suggestions welcomed

i have an altec lansing ADA 885 speaker the one with THX certified one

recently there was some electrical power instability at my home
and the fuse of the speaker burnt out a few times
i replaced the fuse and then it was ok

then one day i switched it on but there was no light from the LED
i checked the fuse i thought it burnt again but this time no

i sent to the electrician, i thought something wrong inside the woofer
then the guy checked and said the transformer inside is spoilt
need to recoil it

my question

1. is there a authorized altec lansing repair centre?

2. where to repair transformer in Kuching, sarawak

3. can the transformer be replaced instead of recoiling it?

pls bear in mind, i think this model is no longer in production

File unencryption problem

Really need help from sifus....
ok here's the prob

i have a couple of pic files which i encrypted
i had them copied to my secondary hard disk so that i could back them up
then i reinstalled windows on my primary hard disk

when accessing the pic files on my second hard disk thru the new windows in the primary i cant access the files. i can see the file icons, but when preview it no pics can be seen.

i right click the pics properties and then advance and the encrypt box is ticked
i try to add users who can transparently access this file but get the error

EFSADU
Error in adding new user(s). Error code 5.

the current use who can access the file is from the previous windows which i already reinstalled

how do i get all this unencrypted?? i don have other copies of these pic files...

im really in a dead end now....

How to Rescue my HDD? Help

hi any sifu...

im using a SATA HDD
recently my pc hang and i had to force restart it
then after that can't get into Windows even though using the last know good configuration option

first it said some file called hal.dll missing or corrupted

then after few attempts it says the WINDOWS\SYSTEM is corrupted

thinking of reformat but the HDD doesnt have any partition. only 1 whole HDD

tried to recover windows using the installation cd but at the command prompt dunno wat to do next

i have lots of stuff in this HDD and dun wanna lose it
any ideas?

i even thought of getting a new HDD then install new windows and make the old one as slave n copy everything as backup

any other options??

wanna ask something
lets say i bought a new ipod from someone thru BULK or AUCTION
is the warranty still international? is it the same for all ipods?
and if the warranty is valid, how will they they know when the date of purchase is? and when the warranty will commence? probably there wont be any receipt or company chop if we bought them from someone personally rite?
