Windows 8 Winload.efi Prob

New Lappie (Samsung 5 series), bought 2 weeks ago and I have this strange problem.

Windows 8 x64 able to boot and use normally,
problem comes when I do the following:

Go to recovery mode --> troubleshoot -->

Refresh your PC
Reset your PC
Advanced options --> AUtomatic Repair
Advanced options --> Command prompt

When I choose any of this, I'll get the following error:

Your PC needs to be repaired
File: \windows\system32\winload.efi
Error code: 0xc00001

Attemps made:
Reformat (enter recovery when bios logo shows), restore to factory default
Sent to Samsung customer care

Still the same thing

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello there

Need some advices on shipping bulky item

Item weight: around 120kg / pc (cannot be dismantled)
Item dimension: < 1m3

Collect from PJ and ship to either Kota Kinabalu, Bintulu, Sandakan or Tawau.

Speed is essential, must arrive within 1-2 days

Any recommendations?

Fax server stucked in Win2003

Hi all

Wonders what's wrong with my fax server in win2003.
I am using normal external Aztech 56k to send fax

I tried the following:
- tested the modem on other PC, it works
- tried all available USB ports on the server, all having same problem
- uninstall and reinstall modem, same
- uninstall and reinstall fax server, same
- googled around for 2 days... couldn't find exact problem
- the modem is enabled to send & receive under fax service manager
- No problem with line, when the phone rings, the fax monitor shows "ringing" but unable to accept, when I click receive fax (manually), it will shows the modem is busy with another fax call

Any help is appreciated.

Recently, my superior told me he found that the are increasing employee who surf personal site during office hour
He wanna get rid of it and send warning to those who surf it frequently (work 8 hours surf 4 hours?) but he don't have proof

Do you guys know software that can log the web surfed for each user?

Strange problem when copying files via ActiveSync

This is a very strange problem i encountered, after 2 years of using PDA.
Did googling around but does not find any good answer

maybe anyone of you experienced the same problem?

Specs:
Asus P535 WM6

WinXP Pro
ActiveSync 4.5

Working:
Sync (calender, notes etc)
Copy files from PC to PDA (use the explore function copy n paste)

Strange problem:
When copy files from PDA to PC (via explorer function copy n paste), it will show the window copy and converting (as usual), after it finish, the files will not appear in the place where i copied to.

i.e i copy from PDA My pictures to desktop, after the window showing "copy and converting", the file i copied will not appear in desktop, i tried to copy to other location, i.e c: d: also same; applies to all files (also tried mp3 txt)

I tried to re-pair, reinstall activesync but problem still there

strange huh?? how to solve this?

To assign admin right

Problem:
This online game Granada needs admin right to run
When you run on limited account, it will popup and say it requires admin right to run

Dilemma:
My siblings are not so aware on internet traps, if I assign them to computer admin, for sure, the PC will be infected by spyware within 3 days. Thus I have to assign them to limited account to reduce headache

Stupid short term solution:
Right click the program, click run as, then enter admin user name and account, everytime they restart the program I have to enter it again

Looking for Permanent solution:
How to set the program to run permanently as admin in limited account?

I tried the following but none of them worked:
-assign their account as Power Users/Debugger
-set the account to have full control on entire folder of the program

Please don't suggest solution such as:
- assign them admin right and teach them about spyware

Appreciate your help

I received this problem:

receive the following error when you double-click a computer in my network place it will show: \\(PCName) is not accessible. You may not have permission to use this network resource

Tried googling around and search in this forum but couldn't get a solution, please help

Setting:

3 PCs --> All connected to router, IP assigned by DHCP, 2x win home, 1x win pro

- 3 of them can access internet
- 3 of them are assigned under MsHOME (using networking wizard) with turn on file and printer sharing
- when comp A & B (win home) shares a folder, 3 of the PC can access
- when comp C (win pro) shares a folder, A & B will receive the error mentioned above

What I did:
- Disable Norton antivirus on C
- Off windows firewall on C
- Grant everyone full control on that shared folder on C
- change the anonymous access to 0 in regedit on C
- installed NetBIOS on every PC
- assign all of the PC to different network name, i.e Local

Problem still there....

Anyone encounter this? Please help me!
