I bought new speaker stands for my MA BR2. i just wonder if we need to completely fill up the speaker stands to Maximum? Some forum only state 2/3 or 3/4 out of total height....
i will use ordinary wash dried sand to fill up...not atabites

Any bro has experienced on these?

Finally, i managed to make my own 2 No. 4ft x 2ft DIY ACOUSTIC PANEL for my Hi-Fi system . . . . Bass is much deeper and solid . . . Music is warmer . . . less ear fatigue during long listening hour . . .

what happen to screamyx!

hi bro n experts out there....

i am from Miri and 1mbps user...i don't know what happen to my streamyx...for the last two days, i could not browse all website except www.google.com ONLY....i guess google.com website carries a very little space......i am using Belkin N wireless router for more than 3months already...no problem whatsover..

all the light appear "ON" on my Belkin Wireless N router including ADSL & Internet...they appears to function normally...

I call telekom 100 and one of their customer service has actually guide me to run cmd, ipconfig, ipconfig /flushdns, ping , etc and results has shown "TIMED OUT" & 100% loss although my modem router indicate the ADSL and Internet both connected or in normal mode...according to her, she can't detect my line connected to their server..... i even use my old DLINK wireless G and Atzech and results still de same....

But de funny thIng i can browse only www.google.com but a very very very slow rate...sometime also webpage can't displayed...i try to download my virus definition...it downloads at only 15bytes/sec only ...and not even KB....what's happening....

Budjet CD player VS High Line CD player?

I came across some really expensive CD players (ie marantz premium) in the region of more than RM 6K or even more. Since my 1K CD player is capable of reading a CD fairly well, I wonder how the high price tag can be justified. Is there really any differences? Or the sensor pick up more detailed and sensitive?

Dear friends,

How does Marantz Intergrated Stereo Amplifier PM 7001 compare to other intergrated stereo amp such as Yamaha, Onkyo, Cambrige Audio, Denon, Pioneer in MUSIC handling? Which brand suite Music better? I mean give music a more natural sound with less colouration.

Is it worth getting MARANTZ PM7001 or MARANTZ PM 7001KI? I know these two are slighty different. KI using Toraidal Transformer while the PM7001 using EI transformer. But both power consumption suprisingly to be same.

How much is PM7001 & PM7001KI? Please input if you know...need your view if it's worth getting PM7001 or PM7001KI?

THE FEATURES AS BELOWS:-

PM7001

The PM7001 is an integrated amplifier developed on the design
concepts of Marantz�s PM-11S1 high-end model amplifier.

� CD Direct Buffer Amplifier
The PM7001 incorporates a specialized input buffer amplifier
nearby the CD input jack. This buffer amplifier faithfully transmits
the CD input jack signal by preventing interference from
between the left and right channels, and from the effects of
other circuits. A discrete configuration high-speed buffer
amplifier which is built on the HDAM�SA technology is
incorporated into the buffer amplifier circuit.
� CD Direct Selector
The output of CD direct buffer amplifier has a specialized relay
switch, which directly transmits the input signal by the shortest
path to the pre-amplifier.
� Improved Momentary-Current Supply
Capability
It is known that sound quality differs between amplifiers that
use the same spec, and Marantz believes that this is caused
by differences in speaker drive capability. The PM7001 mainamplifier
has the capability to momentarily pass 25 amperes
or more of current, providing high-powered drive to the
speakers.
� Short Power Line Layout
In order to improve the momentary-current supply capability,
a new layout which places priority on making the large current
line connections as short as possible was adopted.
In this layout the power supply circuit, main-amplifier output
stage, and heatsink are unified, and the large current line is
arranged to be as short as possible while still achieving
symmetry on the left and right sides.
� Current Feedback Amplifier
Both pre-amplifier and main-amplifier incorporate a high-speed
current feedback amplifier circuit, which faithfully amplify
signals from the CD player. Moreover, the high-speed current
feedback amplifier reproduces a natural sound field space.

PM7001 KI Version Features

Compared to the PM7001, the PM7001 KI version contains
the following upgrades.
� Current Feedback PHONO Equalizer
A high-speed current feedback circuit similar to the pre-amplifier
and main-amplifier circuits was adopted in the PHONO
equalizer for the MM cartridge.
� Newly Developed Toroidal Transformer
A newly developed Toroidal power transformer, which produces
less vibration and magnetic leakage flux than previously, has
been incorporated. The materials and manufacturing process
of the ring-shaped core are strictly controlled to reduce
vibration, while the short-ring attached to the perimeter of the
transformer reduce magnetic leakage flux.
� High Performance Volume
The volume controller, which is often considered to be the core
function of an amplifier, has been upgraded to an even more
reliable type of controller.
� Large Capacitance Block Capacitor
A large capacity 18000μF block capacitor is incorporated into
the main-amplifier power supply circuit.
� Film capacitors and electrolical
capacitors etc.
The capacitors used in high end models like the PM-11S1 are
incorporated into the PM7001 amplifier.
� Copper-coated Chassis

If let say price different is around RM 700 is it worth getting it?

Or is it just MAKE UP OVER to PM7001?

Bookshelf Speaker or Floorstanding Speaker?

IMO, i prefer bookshelf speaker over floorstanding speaker...it's sound more natural for music listening....

Just bought an entry level bookshelf Monitor Audio BR2 for my music listening pleasure..hehe

Hi friend,

Finally, i got these micro hi-fi system. Reasonable price, good quality and finish too. Initially, the sound really uncomfortable to my ears but after more than 70hrs 'break-in' speaker (which i believe), the speaker simply sounds a lot better, refine and accurate together with new upgraded speaker wire too... Plan to upgrade Interconnects soon. Any recomendation for interconnects?

Hey All my valuable friends out there,

Need all your professional advice here......my office computer probably got infected with adware or some kind of virus...what is my main concern is, after a few minutes surfing into the internet, it will automatically switch my current view website for example www.yahoo.com to xdrivecleaner.com, winantivirus.com(can't really remember the exact website,something like that) and it keeps popping out and really slows down my computer.....there is also statement popping out asking me to upgade or buy the software!!!

I am so frustrated and when i try to install free addition of adware2007 to get rid the adware or some kind of virus, error message will come out after few minutes into scanning....

Please help me how to get rid of this SUPER stubborn pop up message to promote their antivirus products!!! i believe the virus or adware actually created by the antivirus company to gain sales!!! btw, i do not want to format my computer.

what software to burn pictures in VCD format?

HI bro,

i have a lot of pictures taken with my digital camera....the problem is i want to burn the pictures in a cd and able to play the contents with VCD/DVD player and view the pictures in the T.V and best still can play background music while viewing the pictures....

i try to use nero but i think cannot add background music...pls advice

i want to compile my pictures and view in the T.V with background music...what software to use?thanks bro...

i realised my Internet being use by my neighbours as i find another unknown person appearing in my network group apart from my family...of coz internet connection gets slower...i suspect him using my Streamyx as my modem incorporated Wireless.......

I want to set password for my family only.........my Modem is AZTECH ADSL WLAN ETHERNET ROUTER.... how to do it.......please help....thank you

I think it's wise to post and regularly update BT speed here so that we know when it's the time the connection get faster or when tmnet temporary stop throttling and ON back again....because sometimes i experience rather fast download speed and sometimes absolutely near 0kb/sec...

let me start first...

Download speed at Miri around 30kb/s @ 6.42p.m. 2November2006
Speed ok lor...

Remember to keep it posted regularly so that our friends can check the latest download speed as a reference....

Dear Sir,

i would like to inform that a lot of us including myself experience extremely slow in speed either downloading or uploading these few days.......

some of them suggest there is upgrading of network but the question is when it will resume?

i've been using bitcomet to download torrent?and the speed is extremely slow compare to
last?8 days.......download and upload speed has reduced severely from 60kb/s to merely
5kb/s....this worried me as i pay RM88-1Mbps package every month.....

Kindly please inform me?when it will?return back to normal....Please make necessary effort to
reinstate back the speed....

protocol) downloads, peer to peer, bittorrent and other file sharing programs, we would like to
inform you that TM Net does not throttle the speed of your connections.

Please be informed that, your connection speed is based upon the connection speed given by
the other side. For example, when downloading files directly off the internet (http downloads)
the upload speed from the hosting website will effect your download speed. If they can only
upload 1 Kb every one minute, no matter how fast your speed is, you will only get 1 Kb every one
minute. This same concept applies to Bittorrent and other filesharing programs.

Merujuk kepada perkara di atas, kami memahami masalah yang anda hadapi di dalam menakses
sebarang aktiviti P2P. Kepadatan trafik daripada aktiviti P2P sebenarnya akan menyesakkan lagi
talian internet di mana 20% pengguna sebenarnya menggunakan 80% daripada jumlah keseluruhan
"bandwidth" pengguna yang lain.

Memandangkan jumlah pengguna jalur lebar adalah semakin meningkat, lebih ramai pengguna
dijangkakan akan menggunakan perisian P2P seperti Kazaa dan juga Bit Torrent untuk membuat
