Hey there!

Do you want to find out if you are cut out for the exciting world of design? Come to Saito for a FREE 1 month intensive Design Class where you will discover the designer in you.

Take this journey of self-discovery with us as we explore the different career paths a designer can take. You will also be taught the basics skills of a designer such as illustration, computer image editing, animation and interior designing.
At the end of your course, you will be tasked to do a presentation of what type of designer you are using all the skills you have learnt.

Limited seats available only. This Design Class is only open for Students taking SPM in year 2010

will visit the different countries and cultures from around the world and how they approach design and the world of
business. Learn how business and design icons made their mark and how we can mould you to be one of them too!

We will also showcase the latest in the world of Security Management and gadgets used to make the world a safer
place.

SPM/STPM/UEC students are most welcomed to join us to learn more of the courses offered by our college. For more

Saturday (20th March 2010)
10am – 2pm - Kalvin Ho (Kaieitenjitsu Design) – Lab 1 – Japanese Comics

Mr. Kalvin Ho from Kaieitenjitsu Design will be talking about Comic Drawing and the Japanese Manga mania sweeping Malaysia. He will also be showcasing his “My Teru-teru Bozu” Online Comic Portal and letting aspiring Comic Artist know how you can achieve your fame from publishing your comic online.

11am - 1pm - Mr. JC Wong – Mac Lab - Illustration for the Creative Industry

Mr. J.C. Wong, was born in Penang, Malaysia and graduated from a local design college in 1995, majoring in Visual Arts. JC loves watching movies, relaxing at beaches & creating picture books. JC was also previously involved in various artistic projects such as Animation Pre-Production, Children's Books, Fashion Illustrations, Comics & etc. In 2003, JC founded a creative studio in video production that has to date produced over 50 TV Identity Short Films for Channel [V], the most popular music Station in Asia. JC has always been very passionate in exploring and adopting artistic contents into his creative art projects. At present, JC is managing JC Wong Productions, a Concept, Art & Design studio. He is currently in the midst of creating a new picture book targeted for an International Market.

Have you ever wondered how professional photographers take stunning pictures? Learn it here during our photography workshop. This workshop is designed to give you a glimpse of the professional world of photography and how you can pursue a career in that field.

Taught by a master photographer with 35 years of photography experience, you will learn the career prospects of a photographer, the role of photography in the design field, the latest equipment used, the functions of a modern DSLR camera and proper photography techniques.

Participants are also encouraged to bring their own cameras whether DSLR or compact cameras to get a better idea how to maximised their cameras usage.

This workshop is free for SPM/STPM/UEC students. Limited to the first 30 participants. To register, please send email to enquiries@saito-college.edu.my with your full name, IC and contact number.

Mr. Low Yaw Leong has been involved in the photography field in various positions for the past 35 years. He started out as a darkroom assistant in 1975 and moved up to become a full-fledged professional photographer. He has a passion for teaching and been lecturing in various design centers and colleges since 1986. He is currently a Photography lecturer at Saito College. He has conducted various photography workshops including The Kodak Master Series Workshops and The Fuji Professional Photography Workshops.
