Someone say wanna boycott petrol station wor ...

‘Boycott Petron to fight corruption’
B Nantha Kumar
| July 13, 2012

Malacca’s G Rajendran says that would be a better way of fighting corruption than relying on the police and MACC.
PETALING JAYA: A PKR leader has suggested that a boycott of companies owned by BN cronies would be a more effective method of fighting corruption in Malaysia than depending on action by the police or MACC.
Malacca PKR vice chairman G Rajendran said he would start the ball rolling by launching a “Say No to Petron” campaign against the new petrol and gas company, which is said to be owned by Mirzan Mahathir, one of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s sons.
He told FMT the campaign would be initially carried out through Facebook and other social networking sites, but did not say when he would launch it.
“I’ll request Malaysians to boycott all Petron petrol stations to show our dismay over cronyism in Malaysia,” he said.
“Petron Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which has links with Mahathir’s son Mirzan, has taken over Esso Malaysia Bhd and all Esso stations are being rebranded to Petron.
“This is ridiculous. While the people are struggling, a few are enjoying a lavish life because of cronyism. Those who are related to powerful leaders are getting favours without any problems.
“I am really saddened by our system.”
Rajendran said cronyism, in his book, is just another name for corruption.
“There are thousands and thousands of complaints lodged with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the police, but nothing is done about them.
“So, the time has come to use a new method to fight cronyism.”
Petron acquired the oil refiner Exxon Mobil Malaysia Bhd in April, when it bought 65% of the firm, and now has full ownership of the subsidiaries Exxon Mobil Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Exxon Mobil Borneo Sdn Bhd.
It has since rebranded 580 former Exxon Mobil fuel stations nationwide and, it is learnt, will do so with 120 more stations by the end of the year.
PKR de facto chief Anwar Ibrahim recently alleged that Petron paid for the acquisition with money gained from the sale of shares in the San Miguel beer company.
Anwar has also raised concern over a deal between Petron and Malaysia Airlines System (MAS).
Petron has signed an agreement with MAS for the supply of fuel for the national carrier’s entire Airbus A380 fleet for six months.

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...petron-boycott/

--------------------------------------------------------
Long story short , one PKR leader say boycott petron cause partly owned by mahathir's son.
PR Shadow cabinet list backfires in Sabah, S’wak

KUCHING: Pakatan Rakyat’s so-called shadow cabinet has come under fire here with many declaring that it was a ‘reflection’ of how the peninsular-based opposition viewed the state’s importance.

Last week FMT columnist Selena Tay revealed, after speaking to a Pakatan MP who declined to be named, a list of people who formed Pakatan’s shadow cabinet.

Except for two posts – Deputy Prime Minister 3 and at Transport Minister – all positions were swept by peninsular-based Pakatan MPs from DAP, PAS and PKR.

Responding to comments to her disclosure, Tay wrote: “I never forget Sabah and Sarawak but as mentioned above, this list is from the previous GE when the Sabahans and Sarawakians only gave one or two miserable seats to the opposition.

“If they vote Pakatan more, then their representation will be increased.”

Her comment and list have shocked many in Sarawak and neighbouring Sabah, where Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has been busy wooing MPs and voters.

It has also put Anwar’s spin that Sabah and Sarawak will be dealt with fairly under question. The grapevines here are spewing skeptism over Pakatan’s ‘real’ intentions.

Anwar’s PKR is already facing an uphill battle in Sabah where there is prevailing questions about the party’s ‘genuineness’ and threats from a fast expanding State Reform Party lead by former PKR vice president Jeffrey Kitingan.

Said one Sabah businessman, who declined to be named: “This is not even the real list. It’s only a shadow cabinet and they did not nominate anyone from Sabah, imagine after the elections.

“PKR cannot win any seats in Sabah and DAP maybe get one.. so what will happen then. We will still have only one miserable seat unless they tie up with a local party.”

Pakatan ‘no different from BN’

In Sarawak, local folk are seething at the ‘arrogance of leadership’.

A civil servant in Sibu who declined to be named accused the KL opposition pact leaders of having a short memory.

“They have forgotten that DAP and PKR together won 15 seats in last April state election and the fact that DAP here has two MPs.

“The shadow list ignored them completely. This could eventually be the real list, you know.

“How can you trust people who say one thing and do another? They are no different from BN,” he said.

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...s-in-sabah-swk/

I'm driving a 12 year old iswara, currently my car very , and i do mean loud noisy sound (whizzing) coming from my tyres. i changed my tyres to goodyear ducaro back and front michelin (stock) .

i did the alignment and balancing and the sound still persist. when good year was in front, the noise start from 70-100km/h, when switched to the back from 40 to 100 km/h.

I was wondering if it was the fault of the tyres or the problem with my wheel bearings?

extra info, its a second hand car, been using it for 2 years, never changed bearing before. My timing belt is due to change during my next service early Feb.

PTPTN Loan calculation

anyone know how the loan is calculated? I know its 3% but the figure i get doesnt match up the interest they charge.

for example
if my loan is RM13500 per year, after 5 years my total amount is RM67500
for engineering there is an amount of RM500 which is not charge for interest each year right? I paid off RM500 beforehand which makes it RM67000. The interest they charge is after that is RM164.++.

Anyone know how it is calculated?

Link below shows how to calculate the loan..
http://www.ptptn.gov.my/image/image_gallery?img_id=1032

i gone through the formula, but i think the person who prepared this formula was in a rush, some part of the formula are wrong and how does pi = 360? wtf

FYI, they started to charge interest 6 months after you graduated, NOT 6 month after tour convo.
