Anyone know about IP Transit service in Malaysia? The reason is because I see a huge gap in term of price for the IP transit vs colocation bandwidth, as it seems that IP transit bandwidth is 50 - 60% cheaper and would like to know why? and how?

Any professional good in IP Phone / VOIP technology please help on this matter. I'm currently enrolling some testing on the VOIP on a server which installed with the Asterisk (FreePBX) system that works with my softphone (SIP) with my Asterisk system without issues. Able to receives call and make outgoing call, however recently I am thinking of getting a hardphone (IP PHONE) as an alternative of soft phone to receives call.

As far as my understanding, the IP Phone must be compatible with SIP system too in order to work with my Asterisk. Correct? Can you please give me some advice on this?
