Desktop can connect, laptop can't connect to net

Hye,

I just subscribed to Maxis broadband 5 days ago (am using modem B932 with LAN cable), and everything was okay until yesterday. My laptop seems to be disconnected to the internet in the middle of surfing. I thought it was the same if I connect the LAN cable to my desktop, but I discovered my desktop had no problem to surf though. I tried putting the LAN cable back to my laptop again, but it still says 'Limited/no connectivity' at the LAN icon.

I use one (desktop/Laptop) at a time to connect to internet coz I can't figure out the proper configuration to use the modem with a router yet even when reading the solution at another thread in this forum.

Anyone can provide a possible solution? Does the problem lies at my laptop or the setting of the broadband?

Need help in detecting problem of writing to disc

I'm currently using Imation DVD+-R DL external burner, and lately, i have been having problems writing to dvd disc, which I've never encountered before since use in sometime in 06/07. I've used the same dvd disc before and there wasn't any problems with it then. Nero application used and I've left the operating manual of the burner back in my hometown so couldn't figure out what is the prob myself
