DBKL New Renovation 2017 Guideline

Dear all
DBKL published a new renovation guideline for standard size terrace houses in January 2017, where the setbacks are reduced, i.e., your renovation can be bigger.

My question is:

Does DBKL still have the standard renovation application form that you can purchase and submit without needing an architect or engineer to draw up the plans and submit?

Or can someone here help advise what is the current procedure for submitting renovation plans to DBKL? or direct me to a website that explains this.

I just realised that this Oval Tower or Oval Damansara in Damansara Kim, between SS2 and TTDI has got their VP.

I have been trying to do some transactions using maybank2u.com.my. I have requested many times for TAC but none were received. I turned off and on the phone a few times to make sure nothing is wrong with my phone. Still no TAC received. Anyone here experience this?

The website has a message stating maybank2u.com.my has intermittent disruptions but nothing about TAC and I am not sure how old is that message.

Pls share.

Bamboo Pole - Where to get in KL?

If you know, pls advise where can one buy bamboo pole, ones that were used in the older days as poles for drying cloths, in KL?

I remember some 20 years back, there will be pakcik on a bicycle with the bamboo poles on this shoulder selling them.

Adjustable Louver Shutters For Windows (External)

My fellow forumers
I am looking for adjustable louver shutters for windows to be installed externally. Similar to the pics below.

Non wood is preferred, UPVC (Faux-Wood or artificial wood) or Aluminium will be best.

Does anyone know if there are manufacturers / suppliers of such window shutters in Malaysia? Do share, this is highly appreciated.

Help Required for Wireless Router

Sifus and Tok Gurus
I have a Streamyx Broadband with the Riger DB120 modem. Wired connection is fine and I can get into the net. However when I add on the Aztech W830RT4 wireless router, it does not work. The router signal can be detacted however it cannot get onto the net.

I have seen another thread on the forum on this topic but I am still very confused. Can some kind so provide me with an Idoit's Step by Step Guide in fixing this problem.

Advise on broadband wireless router

Dear Sifus and Tok Gurus
I am intending to get an entry level broadband wireless router to use at home for my streamyx. I am a total novice in this area. Basically I need to have wireless broadband connection around the house for my desk top, laptop and pda. I want to have be able to have a password to avoid others tapping into my line.

I saw an ad in Star Intech for Levelone routers, various from RM128 to RM198. I presume these prices are comparable with Belkin and D-Links ones.

Pls can someone recommend something reliable and best value for money that is suitable for my needs.
