Hi guys,

I just got quotation from a shop nearby to my house in Ampang area.

Just wondering if the following price is reasonable for my 2009 MYVI Grey (Same Color).

Nono - 1800
The following finishing got 1 and half year warranty:
Alesco v2 - 2000
Alesco A plus - 2300
Glosunt 155 (France)- 2500
Glosunt 255 (France)- 3000

The shop owner did also mention that they will open and apply primer and repaint everything 1 by 1 instead of applying tape around the car.

Hope can get some advice from you guys.

DVI-D vs Display port cable

Hi guys.

Does using DVI cable rather than Display port cable will limit/reduce my monitor frame rate when playing games/benchmarking? Doing some search mention that display port has better transfer rate then DVI cable. Using Dell U2312HM (1920*1080)

Issues: Just bought display cable yesterday and used it. Suddenly this message appears "USB device over current status detected will shut down in 15 seconds". Search the net regarding this matters and most of it mention regarding usb is shorting/metal touching motherboard/ front usb device malfunction/any usb port faulty/Hard Disk malfunction/pull out usb from motherboard/buy new motherboard etc2. I had disassemble all the pc and try one by one. Finally try using DVI-D cable back and all return to normal. Still wondering if Display port cable considered as USB as mentioned on boot message

Need help in new 2.5k budget gaming rig

Hi guys. Im thinking to build new gaming rig for my friends with RM2.5k budget. Main purpose, of course would be gaming. Only desktop is needed and reuse item is Monitor, Keyboard,Speaker and Mouse. Could you guys help me with the spec and please don't exceed the RM2.5k since it's not my money:P

My first desktop. Budget 5k or below. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I’m planning to get my first desktop at the end of this month. My budget will be capped and max on RM5k (really can’t go beyond this, if all sifu can advice me to get below then 5k it would be better ) which including monitor, mouse, keyboard, sound system, casing and etc since it is my first desktop(only use notebook all this time)

1) The main purpose of this desktop is gaming such as Diablo 3, mass effect 3, skyrim, batterfield 3 etc. (I really hope that my budget is enough and can play all this at high setting without lagging, cross finger)

2) I also need this desktop to have a wifi, because my modem seem to be far from my room (maybe around 2 room range)

3) Watching movies

4) Downloading

5) I don’t know how to maintain any water cooling. i hope fan cooling system would be ok for me

I don’t know how to assemble the desktop by myself so I will just take note everything in here and bring this to the store and I don’t know how to overclock but I hope this build can leave some room for me to learn how to overclock in the future and upgrading it myself since I hope I can use this desktop for a long time.

About the computer specification that I have in mind right now :
CPU: i5 3570k?
GPU: HD 7850? ( anything as long as I can play all the games without lag, and best value for money)
RAM: 1600C9 HYPER-X 2x 4gb ( I don’t know should I get performance or value ram)
PSU: Corsair GS 600w
HDD: 120gb ssd + 500gb/1tb (SSD for OS and installation, and other on HDD)
DVD: Lite-On 22x DVDRW
I have no idea for motherboard,cooling system,sound,monitor,casing,wifi, and others. And most importantly,feel free to adjust the specification that i need above

I will appreciate any idea and advice that sifu and master to a newbie like me and it going to be a great help to me if any sifu here could recommend me a store to buy and assemble all of this.
