[WTA] To install the latest ATI driver

Hi, I just have my dell laptop with ATI RADEON HD6630M vga. I tried downloading the driver from the official website and downloads the Catalyst Software Suite but it said that it can't be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer. I downloaded the Catalyst Control Center then, it runs smoothly. But after it finished installing, it didn't ask to reboot and such, I reboot manually and I couldn't find any difference. The resolution is still same (I uninstall the previous version of my driver), device manager still same and no configure switch graphic.

So, I now back using the official driver from the manufacture which is quiet outdated (v8.x.x). What should I do now? Thanks

Questions about Dell Inspiron 14r

I have a question about Inspiron 14r. I've been eye-ing this model recently. If I buy one with the ATI 6630m graphic, does it mean the intel hd3000 also there? I mean, can I choose which program to use ati or intel? And the most important thing is the battery life, how long can it last? I probably go to the pc fair next saturday, I hope I can get some clarification before, thanks

To back up entire windows 7

Hi, first of all if I posted in the wrong section please move it.

I'm planning to buy a new notebook soon and most of the notebook have win7 installed with no re-installation CD provided. I wanted to use linux and wanted to know how to back up the OS and someday restore it like the first time I got the notebook. I heard that almost all the new notebook have the 1 click backup/restore function, but my real question is can I restore it(maybe backup in a dvd or something) if I format all the harddisk first to make a fresh installation of linux?

I hope I make my question clear, and someone can give me a heads up about this. thanks

Interview at HP

First of all I'm sorry to ask this question because I know it has been asked a lot in the previous pages. The reason I created a new one is because the others are actually quite old/out-dated. I need to know if some of you took the interview before? Please give me advice/tips about the upcoming questions, I need this job badly. My situation is if I didn't get a job soon, there's a chance that my parent will ask me to go back to my hometown which is not my intention. I love living here in KL more than my hometown

I really appreciate any tips/advice you give me.

Thanks

Tips For Buying 2nd Handed/AP Warranty Blackberry

This tips might be useful for those who wants to buy 2nd handed or ap warranty or refurbish set Blackberry (later will be mentioned as bb).

1. Find as much as possible information about the bb that you want to buy.
2. Always meet the seller and see the phone's condition.
3. Check the phone very carefully, if you're buying refurbish set make sure there are no scratches. Most of the ap warranty give 1-1 exchange within 1 week if there are no scratches on the bb.
4. When you open the battery, see the body very carefully, if the body got many scratches you can ask them to give you a new unit (for refurbish set).
5. Bring a device with internet connection with you, go to: http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis⊂=imeinr. Check the bb IMEI and analyze there, if the result is not good then you need to ask them to give you a new unit or if you're buying 2nd handed and the result is not good you'll need to cancel it.
6. Bring a BIS ready SIM card (ex: DiGi prepaid with bb service activated). Put it in and start browsing/adding friends in bb messenger and else.
7. Play with it, take your time. If there is something you don't like (keypad [make sure it's QWERTY, not QWERTZ or AWERTY], camera, speaker, mic, etc), tell the seller and if it's a refurb set ask for a new unit.
8. Ask the seller about the warranty and let him explain carefully.
9. Ask about after sale. Some shop will treat you like a king when you're about to buy from them, but after that they don't care anymore.
10. Check the accessories given. Bear in mind that most of the refurb set will give you non-ori accessories so you must check it carefully.
11. Bring a friend that have some experience about buying a bb and let him help you check the phone.
12. Depends on the warranty (most of them give 1 week 1-1 exchange if anything happen), take care of your phone very carefully, put a silicon on it or some other protection to avoid scratches within 1 week.
13. Add please to help this community.
14. Don't be afraid to say "NO".

I'm really sorry if there are some grammar error but I hope you guys get the point. If you want to add the tips, feel free to add it in this thread. I hope these tips can help people out there when they want to buy a bb.

Cheers!

Add:
-How to check bb is new or not by dicksonbell.
-Check the IMEI number when you start the phone, sticker behind battery and on the box, make sure they're all the same. Usually if you buy refurb set this won't be same since the box that they provided didn't come with the phone.

First of all I'm sorry if I post is in wrong section, I did search but I didn't find anything (or maybe I don't know what to search).

So, I'm having problem with my Omnia i9000, I can't tap/touch the bottom left screen anymore, I tried to do the calibration with registry and it's not working. Is there any other software solution for this? If no, then maybe a hardware solution, so I know what to tell if I'm going to repair shop (so they don't cheat me or anything). Please help me.

Thank you very much.

PS: I even tried hard-reset because there is a problem with my registry before and do calibration after hard-reset and it's not working either.

Restaurant Ordering System

So, I'm doing my assignment about Restaurant Ordering System. The customer can order the food from the monitor, themselves. My lecture said I need some examples of restaurants who use it to make the questionnaire, but so far I only found Sakae Sushi (Pavilion-KL).

Anybody know any restaurant who used a system like that? If possible, the restaurant is in KL and with the location so I can try it before. I really need this information guys, I'm stuck in here (my lecture is strict).

I really appreciate your help, guys

Peace
