Hey guys, I met a girl on one of the online dating sites (not Tinder) and we managed to get along really well.

Unfortunately, I accidentally unmatched her and I forgot her name. But I do have her pics of her.

One thing I know is that she is studying business at one of the universities in Malaysia, most probably a private one.

Could you guys please advise me on how should I go about finding her?

I don't mind compensating accordingly if you guys are able to provide useful leads.

Thanks in advance!!

I am posting this in Serious Kopitiam for a reason. If you wanna talk shit, bring your shit elsewhere.

Buying Nokia phone in Malaysia to use in the US

Dear /k,

Let me clarify my question. I am actually interested to buy a nokia basic feature/dumb phone like the Nokia 225 for my grandmother who in the US. Unfortunately, i cannot find them in the US. So can i buy her a Nokia phone in Malaysia and let her use it in the US? My concerns are:

1) Can she use the Malaysian charger to charge her Nokia phone in the US?
She has the adapter thing that she can use to convert from 3 pin (Malaysia) to 2 pin (US). This issue aside, will she have any other issues?

Thanks!

Which is better the U.S. university system

I have gone through the UK education system my whole life i.e. the examination system
I want to ask THOSE WHO HAVE STUDIED IN THE US
Is the US education system different? I know about the liberal arts thing and I am not referring to that. What i want to know is do you get assessed differently in the US? I heard that there are more quizzes and you are given marks when you complete an assignment. Is it like 70% assignment and 30% examinations? I mean can you give the rough percentage?
The reason why I am asking is because my brother is interested to further his studies in the USA. The problem with him is that he got mediocre results in his SPM but he did very well in his South Australian Program (SAM). Hence he is looking at the USA because he says that his friends told me he is more suited to the US system compared to the UK. Hence, I am looking for advice so that I can help him.
Thanks.

Meaning of "Annualized Return Since Inception"

Hi guys,
I've gone through a few prospectus and this phrase "Annualized Return Since Inception" keeps popping up.
May I know what does it mean?

Ok let's say this fund was started in December 31st 2010 and today is January 1 2015. The fund has an annualised return of let's say 10%.

1)What does it mean?
2)To keep things simple, if I put RM100 in the fund on 31/December/2010. How much do i have on 1/January/2015?
Am i able to calculate my final amount using the annualised return?
3) Is this correct 100x10%x10%x10%x10%x10%? So my final amount is RM161.051?
4) in addition, what is the difference between annualized return and compound annual growth rate?
Thanks guys.

Is there any home broadband that has no contract?

Hi guys, I will be staying at my friend's place in Shah Alam for 6 months. His house is empty and after my stay, the house will be empty and because he does not plan to rent out his house.

I want to subscribe for unifi or maxis home broadband. However as far as I know, they typically come with a 2 year contract. But since I am staying for only 6 months, what can I do? If I only use for 6 months, will I be fined and how much?

The home broadband(unifi) at my house in Kajang is now already contract-free as it is already more than 2 years, I was thinking of "transferring" the unifi at my house in Kajang to Shah Alam. Is that even possible?

Could you guys kindly advise? Thanks.
